I’m just saying that like based on his performance, even with bad combine numbers, we’re enough for him to at least get a look. And I don’t he even played, so overall he got a shot and it didn’t get preferential treatment.
He was a mid-late round caliber talent that got drafted in the mid-late rounds. So yes, overall it's a nothing burger. But there are dozens of players like him that go undrafted every year. And players like him rightly or wrongly, come with a lot of off field baggage. So he most teams probably would have taken him off the draft board completely, since he was a mediocre talent that would now carry a media circus around him. You put up with baggage for elite talent. Not so much replacement level guys.
It certainly seems probable that Goodell pressured a team to draft a mediocre talent rather than the NFL take the PR hit that they spurned the first openly gay player.
