We have no quality player, as yet, at the QB position.

Watching, with high expectations, I saw Hooker, who apparently beat out Milton, lack the consistency you need to put drives together. Yes, he had that rather spectacular long bomb but after that I did not see a consistent SEC QB in him.

And this is the guy who beat out Milton and Bailey? I do like his quick feet but he's supposed to be a quality passer. He is not. To be fair all too often his receivers showed hands of stone.

Heupel has a problem on his hands. Pun intended. It's early in the season so we'll see how this all shakes out.

Manning lost to Florida by 25 with a roster full of NFL talent. It is what it is. It's going to take time. I just hope Hooker is good enough to win some of the 50/50 games.

You're the first person I've seen call Hooker a "quality" passer. His legs were his strength and he was known to be a little turn over prone. Look, he was in the portal for a reason. It's certainly no revelation that we are lacking at the QB position, but if you think that's our only liability, I don't know what to say. Outside of kickers, I don't see any position as a "strength". This is a patchwork, limited roster at best. It's certainly not what you need to survive in this conference. No quick or easy fix. Folks might as well suck it up and grab moments as they present. 5-6 wins is a good year for this bunch.

Hooker is fine and I think we have a fair shot to win the games that aren’t UGA, Bama, Ole Miss if he’s healthy. We have no depth behind him. We have no depth at most positions. Cruitin’ is what it’s gonna take…and that’s just gonna take a while. We need to settle in and understand DW is going to stick with Heupel for at least four years. This s*** show called UT football for the past 13 years is not going to rise to the top in year one or two under a fifth head coach since Fulmer. I like more of what I’ve seen out of this staff than any other so far. But it’s Jimmy’s and Joe’s and we just don’t have enough of either.

Yeah, Bailey going 12-of-15 for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns is a reason for massive concern

That's what I say to you, you have never made anything but condescending remarks concerning Bailey. If I was Bailey I would begin looking for another team NOW, he never was and never will be given the opportunity to play.

I was only able to listen to last nights game. While the QB is a problem and will remain one. The lack of depth on the defensive side, is what so telling right now, through no fault of CJH. That opening 3rd quarter drive for the Gators, was coaching 101 to ground down a depleted defense and it did. How the team responds from here on out is on CJH. The last two didn't have what it took to coach up a team, I hope this one does.
