What’s Going To Happen
It’s a much, much bigger game for Pitt than it is for Tennessee.

The ACC desperately needs a win over a brand name team, and Pitt needs to show it’s going to be a player in the conference race by going on the road and coming up with a good performance.

The Panthers have an advantage with QB Kenny Pickett, and that defensive front will be a problem, but the Vols will pull it off at home by controlling the clock and matching the D on the other side big play for big play.

Tennessee 26, Pitt 24

Just as I thought when this schedule was first released...coin flip.
I do believe that IF we can control the tempo, we win...lapse into the Vols of the 2nd quarter from last week and we don't.

Running back by comity and plays in space.

Tennessee can stop the run and so far tackle well.

Co Mays back under center lean on the run make a few plays passing the ball and break their spirit slowly.

Crowd stays in it all 4 quarters

The coach regrets making comments on the noise.

You can almost guarantee execution will be a major focus point in practice this week. Theyll be better and ready.

I took the good guys +3, I’m hoping they all take a big step forward from week one and really put the screws to Pitt!

I'm biased, but it's a way more important game for us than it is for them.

We have an SEC schedule in our face right after this. They got two gimmies and the weak ass ACC after this.

We are trying to get bowl eligible and prove that we are a mid pack SEC team. A win here gets us well on our way to that.

They will go to a bowl game and nothing is going to change the fact that they are a mid pack ACC team. Even if they beat us they still have Clemson, UNC, VT, Miami and UVA. Clemson is a guaranteed loss and they aren't running the table against those other teams.

A win could help them a lot, but only if we get our stuff together, otherwise beating a 5-7 SEC team doesn't mean Squat when you have a .500 record in the SEC.

The question is, "Do you get Young back?" If so, I think we make one or two more big plays on D and pull this one out.

CFN has a good history of picking winners. I have won a lot of weeks of office pickem contests over the yrs using their picks.

Placing UT as a favorite is like a certain "Death Wish". For the past 20 years, we hardly know how to win, let alone from being placed in the favorite position. And, so for us to be a favorite after beating lowly BG removes all bulletin board fodder from our locker room and places it now on the Pitt locker room. Can't understand anyone who thinks being a favorite after one game is good. We need the carrot in front of us for the entire rest of the season.
