Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

If JG at Wazzu plays even remotely competent the jinx is real. Wonder if HT at Bama will incur some bizarre penalty that will cost them a game.
I am tired of suckitude

Apparently JG was replaced during the game ... somebody learns faster than TN coaches. Maybe in one game JG has already lost his starting position at WA St.

In the days before cable when schools were limited to one or two football appearances per year, it seemed ND was on every weekend.

And nowadays we have the privilege of watching every Tennessee game on TV.

Not sure how I feel about that.

To make matters worse imo, was when ND signed a contract w/NBC Sports showing their football games. The media treates them like they're some kind of a "magical football team" that's still living in a Knute Rockne football world of the 1920s. Knute Rockne - Wikipedia

That's really cool.

Are you comfortable sharing why you declined?

College football was different back then. It wasn't on every channel and wasn't as big as it is today. Looking back I don't think I truly understood the gravity of the opportunity. Recruiting was on a much smaller scale. Also, I was still going to have to pay for school, it was much further away and I didn't really see myself as that level of a player at the time so I chose a different route. There were several guys from my school on the team though.

Any regrets?
