Coronavirus (No politics)

I was at the dentist this morning and part of their quick COVID screening included an oximeter. People, seriously, get one of these it could save your life.

I posted this before, very informative.

All I know is the virus is real. It won't kill everyone that gets it. You might call me a sheep, BUT, I don't know if I could live with myself if I was flippant or non-chalant about it and took it home to one of my family members that didn't have the immune system to fight it off.

I understand people who go so far as to campaign for vaccinations and masks. I cannot understand people who actively campaign against it. On one hand, you have people trying to reduce illness and death. On the other, you have people who could just stfu and do what they like trying to convince others not to take any precautions that might mitigate risk. It's curious as hell.

If people were not pushing mandates there would be no reason to campaign against them. I do not care if you wear a mask or if you wear 10 masks. I don't care if you get vaccinated or if you take a booster every month for the rest of your life. I don't care if you choose to live in your basement and order your groceries via deliveries the rest of your life. Do whatever you want.

It's really not hard to understand if you actually open your ears and listen to the other side. Unfortunately, that rarely happens.

No goalposts moving. Don't need the vaccine and so I won't take the vaccine. Simple.

1. I have a 99.8% chance of surviving this virus. Don't need the vaccine.
2. I most likely have a higher chance than that since I've had the virus and have natural immunity. don't need the vaccine.
3. There is a risk of injury or death from taking the vaccine. Don't need the risk when I have such a high chance of survival.
4. The vaccine does not stop me from getting the virus.
5. The vaccine does not stop me from transmitting the virus.
6. Therefore, my taking the vaccine doesn't protect others.
7. Other people can also take the vaccine if they want and protect themselves from serious illness.
8. Therefore, I do not need, and will not take the vaccine.
After the first 130 million doses were given, the rate of severe reactions was at .005%. About 16% of those with COVID need to be hospitalized...and that number may be different among those with the Delta variant. It doesn't take a mathematician to see that one of those comes with a significantly higher risk.

I've already seen multiple people with this same attitude change their tune once they or a family member were hit with the delta variant. Unfortunately, some people have to learn the hard way. You can't help but feel like some people are really challenging karma to come get them.

Simple question. Why are the people that had covid 19 not grouped in with the vaccinated people when it comes to mandates? And... Why are the places that are mandating mask wearing for unvaccainated people aren't telling the vaccinated people that if they are having flu like symptoms should also wear a mask/stay home etc and should be tested for covid if they plan to work?

I was just mostly making fun of the spelling. Kind of ironic.

Both valid questions
