All things STOCKS

Yes. I believe a significant correction is coming. If it doesn't materialize by Sept 15th, I'll start gradually purchasing again.
That’s a bold move Cotton, let’s see how it works out. Personally, I’ve never been very good at timing the markets but I certainly agree that they appear to be over bought at the moment

I don’t think about timing the market so much as I was not feeling confident in my purchases LT much anymore. Once I get that confidence back, I’ll buy again. The market rn, imo, is completely unsustainable.

Generally, it’s more important how long an investor is in the market rather than when they jump in. That said, I’m sitting on a fair amount of cash expecting to see a pull back. But a bear market could be several years away. Usually I’m in heavy with margin. I’m not so aggressive right now.

Looks like the US $ is gonna go up. Might need to reconsider stocks that have a significant amount of sales overseas. Tupperware.

Imagine how much it would soar if the budget was balanced and the ND was being reduced. The oceans provide great barriers to much of the evil in the world, the USA’s work force is young relative to most other developed countries (although many are spoiled and soft), and the transportation system has no peer. Canada is rich with natural resources but leans a bit far towards socialism. Mexico has great potential if they could get the lawlessness under control. Norway would be a good bet if the oil industry turns around. Otherwise… maybe South Korea but they’re in a scary neighborhood.

I’m back in SAVE. Sold it too soon last December after holding for about 4.5 months. I think that the pull back is due to Delta (COVID, not the airline). I don’t think that this Delta will be a protracted issue.

Just the Fed announcement that they're going to reduce their balance sheet ought to knock 10% off it.

its been awhile sine I have been on, so I might have missed the discussion but what is everyone thoughts about Crypto?

I'm on BTC & ETH.

IDXX and HUBS are two premium stocks that I purchased several months ago that have performed well. They seem to have not topped out yet.

Don’t really see the point in sitting on a ton of cash right now. Still makes more sense to be buying bonds or financial stocks with low P/E
