Yes, but at this point we weren’t hearing those stories. We heard plenty of stories in Pruitt’s first Fall camp about how players were on board and ready to go. Pruitt was being praised because not many players left before the first game. The ones who did weren’t team players anyway and it was addition by subtraction. It’s the same old story. Only after the fact did we hear stories about how he was a jerk. The VQ guys were sitting on a ton of them but they were too afraid to bring them up at the time.

I’m just saying the prologue is the same. Will the conclusion be different? I sure hope so.

From those covering yes. Those closer to program inside, no.

Which RB do we have that looks like him?

Dang. I was at like half of those games. I remember being so bored at the Wyoming game cause we only mustered 20 points at half. Casey and the starters never should’ve played past halftime.

If there’s one thing I wish, it’s that we step on the throats of our weaker opponents early and often. I want 60+ points in all the patsy games, minimum, I want the starters out at halftime with a 30-40 point lead, and I want third-stringers coming in the 4th quarter.

Is that too much to ask??

Heupel Offense

This is a great breakdown of Heupel's offense and how effective it is. Hopefully our speed will create mismatches and open up running lanes... especially for the QB.

"Even against the Briles-influenced spread-iso attacks that litter the AAC, the main challenge tends to be stopping the run. The wide splits of the receivers has often just served to create a wide alley for runners. What’s more, if the offense uses the QB regularly in the run game then it becomes impossible for the defense to get a plus one defender to the box while maintaining even a single deep safety."

And the above is why I think Heupel will choose a more mobile QB in Milton or Hooker. He will go with the decision making, speed, and QB accuracy. Having that additional QB run option will help TN get into that tempo that is necessary for this offense.

Not at all!

Nope
We have good friends who are donors - he played basketball there (he’s a doctor now) and she’s a professor - we sit with them when we go to Athens.
You must like subjecting yourself to psychological torture.

I always think of the word "fit" every time I hear Heupel speak or hear players talk about him. There are some coaches that could go anywhere and win...I'm not sure if Heupel is that type of coach. However, he seems to be a great fit for what the program needed. He'll bring a strong offense to the field and give the team an honest family environment where they can have fun and feel like they're not just a number. Perhaps the best thing is that we can finally be assured that the admin is going to support the football program the right way.

Obligatory 15-0.
