The 'Titans' weren't around in 1997. They were the Oilers. They treated that city like crap. I wasn't a fan of them then, and I am not a fan of them now.
The franchise has been in Tennessee since 1997, and you said you've been a Colts fan since they've been in Tennessee.

Sure you are. Didn't Peyton go to the Colts basically the same time the Titans came to Tennessee? Talk about bandwagon - that doesn't really change anything since they came over the same time.. maybe about a year or 2 before.

You're in college aren't you? Yeah - I'm sure you were a big Colts fan in '97.

yep. once manning leaves, i'd like to know the percentage of these "colts fans" that keep with the team.

Blown calls in the playoffs shouldn't be tolerated. Those refs shouldn't get to work another game.

The Titans dominated that game. The Ravens just minimized their mistakes and the Titans were sloppy.

The Ravens earned their win by playing efficient football...but they'd be on their way to a long vacation if the Titans protect the football.
Exactly. They didn't make a ton of mistakes and didn't shoot themselves in the foot.

I've been a big Colts fan since the day Peyton was drafted. I sure did bandwagon onto the GREAT team he came onto. I was 10 years old and followed my favorite player. Better than randomly deciding to root for the Titans (or Oilers) just because they happen to be in the same state. At least I have some connection to the Colts. Not to mention my love for the Colts has grown from just liking Peyton to being a 100% fan.

So you're not cheering for the Titans because you don't follow people or teams because they're in the same state? But you like Peyton Manning because he went to Knoxville? Something doesn't add up.

That's sort of how the majority of fanbases work.

That's a retarded reason. I'd say 85% of the posters on this board didn't graduate from UT. They just live close or are in the state of Tennessee - so they're bandwagon fans too? That's laughable. How are we supposed to be 'real' Titans fans? Its not a school - you can't attend it. I've been to several games but since I'm not related to a player I guess I'm a bandwagon fan too... no real connections.

You're a Colts bandwagon fan - deal with it.

Yeah, it's completely random for Tennessee residents to cheer for the NFL team in the state. No connection at all.

I'm not one of the people that believe all residents of the state must pull for the Titans, but to act like there is no connection for the only team in the state for the people that do cheer for them is beyond silly.

1) I grew up rooting for Tennessee, I attended UT.

2) I have NO connection to the Titans other than them being in the same state.

3) Sure I started rooting for the Colts because of Manning, but I will root for that team till the day I die.

I already said I bandwagoned on them when I was 10 years old. Difference is I didn't disappear during bad years, and then randomly show up when they started dominating.

i don't know if you know this, but most nfl fans are supportive of the team that is located closest to where they live. just throwing that out there:crazy:

Whoooooa, you attended UTK as a newborn? According to your rules, it's impossible to attend for a team unless you're affiliated with them or you're a bandwagon fan. Unfortunately for you, you're no longer a Colts fan because Peyton graduated Tennessee before you attended college their. Thus eliminating you from cheering for him in the first place.

I'd rather root for something I have a connection to. I have no connection to the Titans or Nashville.

You say you started rooting for them when Peyton was drafted....so, other than Peyton, what's the connection that will have you rooting for the Colts until the day you die?
