Lol. Ok
And would you even remember that if it weren’t rehashed on The Last Dance? If someone came up to you two years ago on the street and asked you if Scottie Pippen belonged in the Hall of Fame you would say no?
It's an objective opinion in my opinion. Just like my opinion of Michael Jordan being the greatest basketball player of all time is my opinion (though with some pretty strong backing).
I tend to think the person who did it "first" and elevated a sport to a new level like Jordan or Comaneci or what Johnny Unitas did for the QB position tends to be "better" in my book than someone with all the stats in the world. Yeah, Tom Brady broke every record in the book, but did so while standing on the shoulders of giants.
Nothing against Biles at all. But I personally look at the new levels Comaneci took the sport to as just as or more important than winning a thousand gold medals.
Dude, this girl won gold with one leg...
That's a different thing all together. He actually hurt the team when he played with a broken thumb his senior season and had to do those goofy handoffs. Crompton should have been playing. Can’t wait for “get over it, Erik Ainge played addicted to painkillers like a real tough guy” next time an athlete enters rehab
If somebody brings up Pippen, I think about that. I also think he was a great player overshadowed by the greatest player. Sitting out will be part of his legacy.Scottie Pippen, a guy who is in the basketball hall of fame, quit on his team. Literally refused to go into a game in a clutch moment in the playoffs because he wasn’t the guy getting the last shot. Do you remember him as a quitter?
