I could see Bama and Auburn coming over to the East and both of those teams staying in the West. I say this because Mississippi, Arkansas and LSU are all west of Bama. Poor Tennessee if that happens lol.

It's obvious that, under such an arrangement, Mizzou would be moved to the western division.

I think it's more likely that they do away with divisions all together. If they expand the playoff to 12, there is little to no point in a divisional split.

It’s happening. Texas and Oklahoma are telling Big XII officials that announcement is forthcoming. They will be leaving after officially announcing they will not re-up with the conference’s contracts and deals

The only expansion teams the SEC were looking at after the last round in 2012 were:

A combo of two of Texas and Oklahoma (or Kansas if they couldn’t get both) OR two of UNC, Duke, Virginia with NCState or Va Tech as backups

No one else has been considered since 2005

Texas A&M and Missouri were the two teams that left the Big 12 for the SEC in the last round of conference realignment nearly a decade ago.

Kansas is a lame duck football program...Great in basketball but I highly doubt the Big 10 would even consider them.

They match the Big Ten’s qualifications. They touch a member state, are AAU and are a profitable athletic program. The only other options for BiG Ten is Notre Dame who is likely a no, Iowa state and maybe a desperate effort to get an lower tier ACC school

Florida supported Fla State being invited in 1990
