Oklahoma and Texas have reached out to join the SEC (allegedly)

So this would eliminate the current Big12.
OU and Texas to SEC
OSU, TCU, TT, Baylor to PAC12.
ISU, WVU, KU, KSU to Big10.

Hate it. Dump A&M, Mizzou, Arkansas & say no to UO (it’s the university of OK) & TX. Expand the conference with teams from the SE. Clemson, FSU, UNC, Miami, etc.

It’s happening. Texas and Oklahoma are telling Big XII officials that announcement is forthcoming. They will be leaving after officially announcing they will not re-up with the conference’s contracts and deals
Where are you hearing this?

The only expansion teams the SEC were looking at after the last round in 2012 were:

A combo of two of Texas and Oklahoma (or Kansas if they couldn’t get both) OR two of UNC, Duke, Virginia with NCState or Va Tech as backups

No one else has been considered since 2005

Would adding Texas and Oklahoma be the only domino to fall? Is there a vision in the SEC office of something more for the SEC? Maybe a rebirth of the SEC as basically a professional league? What would be the optimal # of teams if you were heading down that route

20 teams across 4 divisions? 24? ?

Did Texas and Oklahoma get wind of something bigger or better in the works and want to get in?

Texas A&M athletic director Ross Bjork made it clear to gathered media Wednesday that he wants the Aggies to be the only team from the Lone Star State in the conference. Texas A&M and Missouri were the two teams that left the Big 12 for the SEC in the last round of conference realignment nearly a decade ago.

The SEC will never go after ACC teams because it cost each ACC team 50 million to leave the conference....So everyone with that Clemson to the SEC or UNC to the SEC love affair can get over it...Not ever going to happen...Besides Florida would never allow FSU or Miami to come to the SEC.

Kansas is a lame duck football program...Great in basketball but I highly doubt the Big 10 would even consider them.
They match the Big Ten’s qualifications. They touch a member state, are AAU and are a profitable athletic program. The only other options for BiG Ten is Notre Dame who is likely a no, Iowa state and maybe a desperate effort to get an lower tier ACC school

Florida supported Fla State being invited in 1990
