Coronavirus (No politics)

I just gotta chime in and say, "what many of you have said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Come on guys. If you're scared of COVID, get the vaccine. If you're scared of the vaccine, take your risk with COVID. This has been driven by fear since day one. This is a simple solution.

When you have the vaccine, why are you interested in someone else getting it? Where is this coming from? When you're eating fast food does someone come and slap the trash out of your hands to protect you from the consequences of your poor diet? This is completely out of hand. If we have the right to make someone else get vaccinated or make their life miserable for it, where does it end? This is the United States of America. We need to start acting that way. United being the key word. In my opinion, division is the trap we are all falling for.

All of my children are completely vaccinated for all the standard stuff. That is because there were years and years of research and testing and usage to show that they were safe. Parents (for the most part) don't question those vaccines because if they have questions about them, someone is willing and able to answer their questions and put their worries to rest. This vaccine does not have those years of research and testing behind it to back it up and when someone wants to ask a question about what they are about to inject their child with they are told to just shut up and vax up. Ummm, I'm sorry. This is my child. Not a lab animal.

The FACTS are:

a) that children are less likely to contract covid because they naturally have fewer of the ACE receptors that covid latches onto to infect someone.
b) that children are often times asymptomatic and have very mild cases if they do contract covid.
c) that there are few if any known cases of a child passing covid to an adult.
d) the vaccine has shown to have more severe adverse affect in children and there is not enough data to understand why that is happening.
e) other countries have halted their vaccine programs in children because of the adverse side effects on young people.

I respect you greatly Doc but I will not be getting my children vaccinated and they will not be wearing a mask when they return to school. After seeing how the masks affected my two youngest daughters last year, this is a hill I am willing to die on.

Big time. A grandson of ours was months getting over the respiratory issues from it even with the school seeing the rash on his face.

Our daughter said she will homeschool before a mask happens again or a vax is required for her children. She was a nurse and teaching assistant in her past employment. We support her decision 100%.

because its a vax and if you are healthy you will have no issues and you will be able to play without being tested constantly. If you want to win, get vaxxed.

Except we have friends and family that were vaxed and a few had issues - one serious. Realize they are not football players. So I guess it is "if you are healthy" and a football player.

Since experimental, emergency approved COVID vaxes have solved all the concerns per folks on here, we are free to play football in packed houses this fall. Amirite? Well, at least until the next "pandemic" arrives.

Since today is COVID discussion day in here - I have one for the resident experts on VN. Recently had my blood tested for COVID antibodies. Positive. Had COVID like symptoms in Feb/March of 2020 that knocked me back a little, but still functioning. Got treated with prednisone for "allergy ear" symptoms. Still have the allergy ear come and go for a day or two nearly 1.5 years later. No vax. Around many people who contracted COVID - family, friends as well as whoever else had it in stores, restaurants, etc. since that time. Would quarantine when I knew about it. Have had no issues at all medically since that point other than the allergy ear. I use the natural immunology approach with proper diet, sunshine and supplements.

Am I a walking time bomb that will expose the world to COVID and deserving of being refused the opportunity to live my best life because I am not vaxed even after knowing I have antibodies in my system? If I was a football player, why should I take an experimental, emergency use only approved vax when I have the antibodies in my system?

Go.

Similar experience. I had covid around Easter of this year. I am O+ so I give blood regularly. Still have antibodies. Why do I need a vax?

Cases have been reported with the mRNA vaccines, so Pfizer and Moderna.

New information for parents on myocarditis and COVID-19 vaccines - Harvard Health

from the article

Millions of doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given, and there have only been 1,000 cases of heart inflammation. Doing the math, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notes that for every million doses given, there have been 67 cases of heart inflammation in boys 12 to 17 (nine in girls of that age group), 56 in those aged 18 to 24 (six in girls), and 20 in males 25 to 29 (three in girls). That means the risk is quite low.

If I am on a football team and know that if I get vaxxed I dont have to have a qtip shoved up my nose every day AND I don't have to worry about getting a positive test, you have to be one selfish fool to not get vaxxed.

That is what is so stupid. Healthy people do not have a lot of difficulty with covid. So we are vaxing the people that will have the least issues with it. Older and unhealthy people can get vaxxed so they are protected and let is burn through the rest of the population so we can be done with this ****!

I don't want to be the parent that give my child medicine that is not necessary and have them come down with a serious side effect that they have to live with the rest of their life. No matter how small the risk. If covid was killing kids left and right then I would re-evaluate my position, but kids generally have few issues with covid. In my view the cure is worse than the illness.

Healthy people dont BUT THEY CAN SPREAD IT to those who do. Why is that so hard to grasp? Im all for unvaxxed people to get it and die so we have less ignorance in the gene pool. Then yes, we can move on.

That article you posted also talks about how COVID can damage the heart in young patients so...

If the elderly and unhealthy have been vaxxed and the vax works so well, then who are the unvaxxed spreading it to? Other unvaxxed! That is their choice. I think the vax has affected your brain cells.

Young people are far far far less likely to even catch it because they have far fewer of the ACE receptors necessary to even contract the illness. Have you not been paying attention?

Who gets covid most often? Adults
Who dies from covid? Ederly and people with prior health issues
