How much “detail” are we talking? Called for more than “he gone and HE gone for cause!” We don’t have actual details. Thought she handled it with class and professionalism.
I have never heard good things about USAA. As a company that is supposed to cater to military and their families I would expect better. Their service sucks and I have been told they offer less than needed coverages to keep their prices competitive. Then when you need to file a claim you find out you were only covered for half of what you could have been under another company.
You should consider shopping some other companies for your insurance. Just my opinion though.
Landed some damn good assistants out of that “shallow pool” and Heupel is the best offensive mind we’ve employed since Kiffin…and before that, Dickey. Traded some talented bad actors for football players…necessary step for advancing the program. Pruitt and Fulmer set all this in motion…not the PC. Boyd and Plowman had to sift through it for something to salvage. Did so in a very adult and admirable fashion. That’s fine, we have different expectations. The result severely impacted recruiting, made the hiring pool shallow and undermined the roster more than necessary imo.
this has been my experience (not being in legal or military) but close family is.We have USAA, and I don’t think there is anything that’s comparable. I’ve always towed mine on my own, but it’s always been local. Never on the highway, so that’s a tough situation.
But we’ve filed multiple claims over the years on a vehicle and the house and never really had a problem. Being in legal, I know what insurance companies try to do.
I’ve thought a lot about DWs hire of CJH from the perspective of a hiring manager. When hiring someone the main two factors I consider is performance and trust. Trust is a very close second to me, but in DWs case it may be first considering the NCAA situation, admin situation, boosters, etc. I expect that the two of them will be hip to hip the next 2-3 years navigating through these land mines, but the hire gives me encouragement when you think of it this way.Landed some damn good assistants out of that “shallow pool” and Heupel is the best offensive mind we’ve employed since Kiffin…and before that, Dickey. Agree mostly. I have no way of knowing his future arc as the CEO, but I’m confident he won’t be negative. A plus in his short history as a HC is that he hires his coaches and let’s them coach. Not always an advocate of the HC calling plays but at the very worst this is the best OC we’ve hired since Kiffin and may be his better as far as innovation. What I like is that he first worked with Ellarbe at Mizzou and the man followed him to a smaller program to work for him. Quality assistants buying in gives one confidence.I’ve thought a lot about DWs hire of CJH from the perspective of a hiring manager. No they haven’t yet. The tow truck company never showed up. So they waited 5 hours for no reason #ThanksUSAARoadSideAssistsance (Piece of crap)
So now they had their mothers friend pick them up and the mothers friend is going to let them stay at his place which is 2 hours away. Still don’t know what we are going to do about the car but I’m pretty pissed off right now at this whole situation.
Didn’t watch the same PC. Growing up I respected the actual grown ups who addressed problems and got to fixing them…instead of denying and attributing blame elsewhere. We’re in a world where spin rules supreme. Opposing coaches don’t need the truth to ply their crap. She should have done exactly what she did. We’ll benefit. The press conference could be tape for a Harvard Business Case on what not to do when faced with a negative situation. What she did was admit guilt to the extreme, walked away from the podium and then allowed the opposing coaches the ability to fill in the blanks how they see fit with the recruits and their parents. She should have said we are starting an investigation and we will provide the results of the process when it is completed.
