Welcome aboard Mr. Halvorsen!

Serious question.

Yer making $600 K, you double it in 4 years, would you quit it for 600K more or $1 million more…there are no shoes to fill here, just asking, I mean, if you make a million, then 2 million, is that life changing? Or are you just trying to get it while the gettin’ is good?

I don’t completely follow your question, but I’ll say this. If you’ve already made good money, there’s a lot more that goes into making a move or career choice than if you’ve just started to see solid paychecks for only a few years.

If Jackson’s injury were arm related he’d be back. But since it’s a leg, I suspect he’ll be drafted high enough that he’ll have to go.

Seniors do get hosed in draft. Most often signed below slot.

Seniors do get screwed, but Leath may be an exception to the rule that you don’t come back for your senior year for bargaining purposes because he was injured. There just isn’t a lot of game experience to show MLB teams.

I guess it all depends on where and if he’s drafted.

Not sure where he’ll fit in with Tidwell, Sewell and Burns. Leath is back too right? Is he a bullpen guy?

Yours is best case scenario. But if Burns and Leath are on campus next year, we’ve got a whale of a staff. Also, Ben Joyce will be healthy. Folks forget about him, but he was creating a lot of noise before his injury.

He's got a Covid/Medical year left I believe so he can come back and still have some leverage.......I heard he's looking for a certain number and it's not that much relatively speaking, if he gets it he's gone if he doesn't he'll be back.

Eh I may be eating my words. I just saw it mentioned he’s mentioned between 36-56 slots thats 2m-1.2m window. Highly doubt he’s coming if that happens.

MLB teams don't want to waste an early round draft pick on someone who won't end up signing. I'm not saying he won't be drated, but put yourself in the place of a team that might want him. He doesn't have much history, and he hasn't proved in game conditions that he is sound health-wise. They might take a bllnd chance on him in a later round, but I'm guessing to get the money he wants, the team that drafts him will have to be assured beforehand that !) he is healthy, and 2) he will sign at the bonus money amount they can offer.

in todays world 1.2 is not enough to live your life on. unless you are 80

I will gladly take that challenge. Then I will hire someone to help me invest and build a portfolio, pay off my debt, pay bills with dividend checks, and live off the grid in quiet solitude, just to spite all the naysayers.

but it does give you money to invest, buy a business, etc that you may not make otherwise. Starting at zero. It takes a lot of years working & saving to have $1.2 million.

If what I heard was true about Burns, he’ll be a lot closer to $2mil if not above.

CV mentioned a "high level" transfer during his call-in interview with Basilio this morning. Said the reason for the transfer was wanting to work with Coach Anderson and wanting to be part of the environment and atmosphere surrounding the program.

If CV is accepting transfers who are coming here to work with Anderson, is that an indicator that CV sees himself here next year?
