I need some help. Nothing new about that.....

Years ago, I built a big deck on my house, about 650 sq ft. It is built over my patio. Standard 2 x 8 joists and 1" x 5.25" Yellow wood deck boards. To keep the patio underneath the deck clean and dry, I installed a ceiling on the bottom of the deck, using standing ridge sheet metal. Rain and debris fall through the deck, onto the sheet metal ceiling and off through gutters and downspouts. All that works very well.

However, I notice that I may have a moisture problem under the deck, probably due to lack of ventilation caused by the sheet metal ceiling closing off the bottom of the deck. To remedy this, I would like to replace selected deck boards with metal or plastic "grates" and installing some vents in the fascia around the perimeter of the deck. I'm having trouble finding the "grates". Does anybody have any sources for such an item? Any other suggestions (other than the usual STFU and/or GTFO)?

Nevermind, I don't really care anyway, was just trying to be nice. Hope the rabbits eat it all, whatever it is.

That's cool. I had one on my patio at my condo down on the beach. I used it more than the one inside. Just something about being drunk and neckit outside.

put a roof over the deck and do away with anything under it.
