My read on Pruitt is he had an anger management issue he could not rein in.

This ultimately alienated his players.

I sensed there was a team that he could no longer control.

Not good.

Pruitt was in over his head for the job he was given. Might have been different if he had HC experience at lower level programs but UT was in no way in position to have a HC learning on the job.

I got the feeling as time went on Pruitt wanted to be anywhere but UT...Might just be me but after the JG incident against Bama on the goal line and Pruitt meeting him on the sideline and that hitting the nationwide media for the next few days it seemed from that weekend forward CJP give AS went South. To me his attitude wasn't the same after that. I don't know what went on over that but something did....JMO.

Nope Tee Martin wasn't even a defensive or offensive coordinator at USC and he didn't do shytt while he was on Cornbread's coaching staff.

Jeremy Pruitt has spent his career as a defensive coordinator. Yet in year 3 here, we still had problems with the defense lining up correctly. You are wrong to blame the fans. As a matter of fact, this fan base is the best thing about UT football in the past decade.

This is Tennessee, we usually don't stop obsessing over the last coach until we fire the new one.

It can't be...the grammar, spelling, and vocabulary are all too refined. If Pruitt happened to be the author, it might read something like this:

"Hurr, I kin see there is gunna be alot a peeple talkin 'bout this here intranet postal bored thang I done made. Wutr y'all gona do if CJH only wins 3-4 games his furst season. He's gonna be treated like a reused ham hock in burnt pinter beans, throwed out in the garbage. Y'all...uh...Our fan base always want a new guy if things ain't doing gud, if not fer the infarctions CJP would still be here sittin on the catbird seat but since the cornbread done burned in that skillet, that ain't the case. Pruitt will get a lot of blame which he should, roster is thin bc of his actions. Seriously I cannot say this enough stfu about the fans being a significant factor. Pruitt was gone bc he sucked as a HC, fans had nothing to do with that.

I tried hard to support him because I love the Vol's. I wish I could kick my own behind for that mistake! Between him and fulmer they sure tried to end this program. I blame fulmer as much as pruitt for what happened here.

Reason to dislike Pruitt is the same reason to dislike Fulmer there way of managing a football team is old, hasn't worked since the Clinton administration, and obsolete. Sure there way of teaching the fundamentals of the game in practice might be very good but come Saturday as you seen with Pruitt your going to get you brains beat out. This why I really like the ideal of what White and Hepuel brings because we now have a modernized football foundation to build on going forward that is going to make us a more viable place for recruits to come play football hopefully very soon.

Fans, alumni, administration, etc do not give one single flying F if a coach is VFL, about the race of the coach, etc. They only care if they believe a coach can win. Not one single program in the entire nation believes in Tee Martin as a head coach, has zero to do with his race. James Franklin was our primary target during the coaching search and had to say no to two offers before we looked elsewhere.

IMO he was as good as anyone else Tennessee has hired
