Hiring is atrocious right now. Nobody wants to work while they get paid for sitting on their ass.

Pretty sure that’s what causes this fiasco in the first place.

Every time I go out I see Help Wanted advertisements everywhere. People who own their own business tell me they can’t find employees. And unemployment rises... GTFO Biden with paying people to stay home.

All unemployment benefits need to return to prepandemic levels immediately. Hell cut them deeper than that and start mailing job listings to recipients instead.

When all this money runs out, and .gov isn't paying anymore, what will happen to wages? I'm guessing a flood of applicants will kill them.

I really hope that was blue font but the posting history makes it unclear. Could have just as easily been pointing to that last small uptick (before today that is 🤡) while ignoring 20 years of decline... well except for the four Trump years that is 😎

Montana and SC are cutting off the extra cash for unemployment at the end of June partly because of labor shortages. The funny thing is in SC unemployment claims are the lowest they’ve been since the pandemic started so I’m not sure what the other issues are. I’m sure a lot of people on the verge of retirement went ahead and took it.
