How much have you watched this guy play? I only saw a few highlight videos but he looked fast and filled well.
Not very much in all honesty. Not even 1 full game. I just don't share the opinion that Henry T is overrated. He's very good, IMO. My comment was more reflective of my high opinion of Henry T than anything else.

Henry T is the real deal. I think he struggled a bit last yr, made some bad reads but his instincts are elite. He'll play on Sundays.

FYI- BAMA has had several of their LBs hit the portal. Probably lieu of HT showing up and taking one of their lockers. Kaho is a LB as well as Ben Davis & Kevin Harris.

"Kaho is one of six Crimson Tide players who have entered the transfer portal either during the 2020 season or in the offseason, joining defensive back Eddie Smith, linebacker Kevin Harris, defensive lineman Ishmael Sopsher, linebacker Ben Davis, and kicker Joseph Bulovas. "

I think Henry T will go to Ohio State and i'll be happy he's not in the SEC

Why did he transfer?

A third Texas Longhorn has publicly claimed he does not want to be associated with the University of Texas. Junior linebacker Juwan Mitchell said in a Twitter statement Wednesday evening that he does not "feel comfortable representing the University of Texas," marking the third player in two weeks to publicly claim their intentions to possibly not play for the Longhorns.
"We put our blood, sweat and tears in every day so the city of Austin can enjoy their Saturday's," Mitchell posted on his personal Twitter page Wednesday. "For once, we decide to voice our opinions about things that can help better the community.
"It seems they only have our front but not our backs. People who want to create change don't care how much money can be lost, don't care about who hates them or any bad outcomes that may happen. The only thing on your mind should be equality.
"When I look in the mirror in the morning, I want to tell myself I did the right thing. That should be everyone's mindsets. It's not about blacks vs. whites, or cops (vs.) blacks. It's about doing what's right!
"With that being said, I do not feel comfortable representing the University of Texas."

Mitchell's comments come a few weeks after wide receiver Brennan Eagles first announced his plans to "not play another snap" for Texas.
“I’m not going to play another snap knowing what’s going on in our society due to color and the system being broken," Eagles said. "I just can’t."

Henry T’s biggest problem was dropping weight and trying to get faster last year. I didn’t notice and mark able improvement in speed, but I did see him get run right over and a lack of pop when he did get there.

I don't have a low opinion of him. He wasn't good in pass coverage. He wasn't as good without Bituli. I also think dropping the weight hurt him without really adding any speed.

Generally speaking I think Henry T is better against the run. Hard to say on pass defense as I think most of HT’s struggle there was attributed to JP’s defense. Felt like I was watching a 90s defense try to defend the spread.
I think the front end and back end of our defense were often not on the same page. This made us vulnerable to plays over the middle.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled to have him. It’s just one of the more comical things to watch on VN, fury at our own guys transferring and calling them disloyal, etc, then embracing a guy who just did that to another program to come here.

Is that the same thing though?

Has anyone on VN criticized the fanbase that got one of our transfers for being excited about said transfer?

There is no chivalry in college football recruiting but we both agree the important thing is we got a solid replacement for Henry T going into next season.

Along with overthinking in a complex defense and being blessed with two linebacker that were horrible coaches but apparently good at $recruiting$ and funding entertainment activities at the local dancing lady hangout.
