Now that French and Washington have portaled in the direction of leaving and Salter is more interested in vaping videos and making stupid comments online than hitting the books or weight room, maybe Coach Heupel should address the situation?

No one is "gone" yet but surely Coach has some idea, since the players involved seem to be making decisions.....

It's hard to imagine Salter bouncing back from this and becoming the leader that a qb needs to be for a team. I'm not sure that the details of the assault are as serious as when Brent Schaeffer nearly killed that 5'5" 140 lb kid who found his girlfriend's cell phone, but I doubt Heupel wants to brand Salter as the face of his program.

I haven't seen what you are talking about. As far as some kids "video behavior"? (save you several weeks of mental anguish)...because I love you. You are my brother. I'm quoting myself. But the aforementioned begs the question. Who is the bigger fool? The one who would do, such stupid sh*t on the internet?!!! Or the person watching dumb **** like that on the internet? Enabling that person to even have a platform to speak on? Word of advise brother, next time you're that bored. Go go on volnation.com, and shake the cage a little bit like a real man. Lol. It's not 30 for 30 material. Frankly, at this point, nothing short of "everybody run, the homecoming queens gotta a gun...." is going to make anyone care what went on at UT in 2021-2022.

Well, other than us getting torched by everyone because we have zero depth in our secondary.

I'm ridiculously old and lack the desire nor patience to use Twitter or whatever Salter is using. I've only seen word/screen shots here and comments from others.

I, personally, have stated my thoughts on Salter, Willis, French, and Washington:

When you're in the doghouse, don't bark.

Salter has continuously barked. None of the others have said much, until Washington, then French said they were hitting the portal.

I, personally, don't use Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or whatever, but I've got grandkids..... they think I'm annoying, I think they used to poop diapers..... they eventually look up stuff for me.

The internet exists for dumb people to put themselves on camera, and us regular folks to sit back and watch the horror show they create and contemplate human society's ever nearing collapse.















And porn. It exists for porn as well.

Hopefully Eason and McDonald have chosen a different path from French and will be some difference makers for us this year. I like what I’ve heard off the field from Eason too. Seems like a good guy that’s bought in and all Vol.

UT has several examples of guys who came back from making mistakes (Juaann Jennings the latest) and others who missed that opportunity. Wonder if any of the successful VFL have attempted to mentor these young men

Maybe the problem is the players have seen that they can do things they know are against the rules and if they get caught, they will be taken back and everything will be OK. That doesn't work and the entire program suffers. We might not have had the problems to begin with if the rules had not been so forgiven. The new staff needs to enforce the rules and get respect back for the program.

I heard on the radio the other day discussing what Saban tells his players.. I'm sure all coaches give these type of talks. What I don't get is why some don't get it. They inspire to play in the NFL but don't get the NFL scrutinize every move or decision a player makes in college. Bryce Thompson is a good example.. Physically talented, he received really good feedback but.. Most NFL teams are holding off because of high school and college issues he had..

These guys hitting the portal after the issues they had isn't going to create a future they are dreaming about in the NFL (if that is their aspiration). I do realize some possibly may or may not be talented enough for the big league... But we actually don't know now because they didn't even put their talents to work to give it a chance or create an opportunity.. That chance is slim to none now. Heck making the practice squad in the league pays well vs what? JMO

Supposedly, Salter has been snap chatting videos of him all trashed up to like 4 in the morning all week. I haven't seen it since I am old and don't snapchat, but that's what is being said by some younger posters.

A young woman I knew from work came up to me with a picture of a check. A guy was trying to get her to move up with him and he'd made the practice squad of Cincinnati. She knew I knew a little about football and asked, "Is this legit? Does he make that kind of money?"

Yes, he did. But it's week to week, no promises, no real contract. She still went. I've no idea how it turned out but it was a nice little check.
