El Dementia was on TV touting an $80B that's right a B as in billion dollar infusion into Amtrak. I'd like to know how many people in most of America have ever ridden on a train in the US? How many US companies could conceivably spend that kind of coin on their own business in 10 years? The democrats are on a drunken spending spree like I've never witnessed before.

The Amtrak train, according to Dictator Biden, will do 220 & up to 400 mph .... go from place to place like in a lightning strike hurry. I don't think riding a train going 220-400 mph is a safe thing to do.

Certainly not if the .gov is backing it.

And it is guaranteed not to be viable for 50 years and about 10X over budget.

I can't wait to see a train running 220 - 400 mph through a lot of places in the US. That's gonna make existing amusement park rides look like stuff for pansies.

Bullet trains in Japan can reach 200mph, I believe. If Amtrak can exceed that, it may not be safe, but I'll give it a try, just for the thrill.

Whatever happened with that train from Chattt to Hartsfield Atlanta. Know they studied it for years. I am sure the costs would be astonomical just for land purchase, but they probably spent tens of millions on study.
