Not inaccurate, unfortunately.

Recruiting Joe Milton does seem like a bit of a red flag to me. Don't want to start being too critical of a new staff before we've ever played a game, but it's baffling. He was mediocre in 4 years of high school football. He was bad in 3 years at Michigan. We have at least 3 QBs on the roster better than him right now. Unless the coaches know there's about to be a mass exodus at QB, I don't get it.

That said, we do know, coaches often recruit guys at a certain position, hoping that they can "convince them" to move to another position. Happens all the time. Jauan Jennings and Jimmy Holiday are 2 recent examples; recruited as QBs, but everyone suspected they weren't going to end up there. Hoping that Heupel & staff secretly have a plan to move Milton to somewhere else "if" he doesn't work out at QB (and he won't). Or alternatively, as some have suggested, maybe the coaches know 1-2 QBs are transferring out and they just need the depth for 2021.
