School Shooting in Knoxville

Or just get rid of taxes all together and just have a national sales tax.

That would work but would be too easy and almost assuredly deemed racist. I think there’s a better chance they would do that tax and still keep the income tax. Dims have never met a tax they didn’t like.

As a man with a family just a couple miles from AE, it’s a really disheartening situation with no singular fix. I reckon it’s similar around the country. My own personal belief is there’s just too many guns, too easy to obtain and too little education. Even if you could address that issue, by itself, it wouldn’t do much.

America has to come together, I sadly, just don’t see that happening.

I think fatherless homes is the bigger problem.

So which one of us here who has guns is responsible for this? I can't speak for anyone else, but I know none of mine were used. I highly doubt anyone else here has a gun that was used. Maybe, just maybe the shooter is responsible, instead of us legal gun owners?
Get defensive if you please, defensiveness does not breed productiveness, only bitterness.

A minor cannot legally purchase or possess a handgun.
It is illegal to buy a gun intended for someone who cannot legally possess it.
It is illegal to sell a gun to someone who cannot legally possess it.
It is illegal to steal a gun.
It is illegal to carry a gun onto a school campus.
It is illegal to fire a gun at someone outside of self defense.

What new law do you propose that would prevent this incident?

Certain segments of our population have proven that education makes little difference. "More" of it isn't going to change anything. Think about putting gas in your vehicle. The quality of gas will make a slight impact, but it can only hold so much. Same goes for most people.

The biggest thing that shocks me about Austin East is that this is really their first shooting that I can remember. Them being terrible at sports is a close second. I remember them being a guaranteed win in football and soccer.

Just kidding, they never had a soccer team.

Make it illegal to purchase more than one gun per month.

lol.....Not in the least. Two separate but related issues.
Separate?
Not at all.

The most important issue (where you are actually correct) is the source of everything thing else that happened.

If you don't understand and or identify that, nothing else you do will matter.
