Thoughts.

RB and DL stood out as two groups who played well.

QB depth chart seemed to be:
1. Hooker
2. Maurer
3. Bailey

Hooker and Bailey both played pretty consistent, granted, Hooker was playing best on best most of the day.

Best and worst plays came from Maurer. Story of his life in 2019. It will be interesting. It is kind of shocking to be HB has found himself in 3rd, but it's still early.

Garner was fun to watch. Gave the fans some entertainment by absolutely chewing the DL out on individual drills. Whole staff was very high energy. Heupel moved around quite a bit but spent most of practice behind the QBs.

Hope we don't have too many games come down to a FG 😬

Probably Maurer. Didn’t see the play. Even the best that’s ever played throw ints so let’s not act like it’s not apart of the game.
The first of Maurer's INTs was just an underthrown ball, the WR was open. The second one he shouldn't have thrown with the safety able to get over.

DL played well is a huge positive to hear. Garner proves that he’s the best Dline coach since....Garner.

List our current commitments and get back to me.

Current status: recruiting is dead. Not saying it’s where we end up, but to argue is our current reality? ... the orange tint is so thick on those glasses it’s opaque

PREACH!!! This is what a lot of us were worried about with this hire... time will tell...

So Hooker didn't get any TDs?

This is important and a 180 degree change from Pruitt. Our offensive staff has said we want to sling the ball all over the field and not worry about making mistakes.

Josh Heupel was the QB at OU in 1999 and 2000. In 2000 he was the runner up for the Heisman trophy and he won the national championship.

In 1999 he threw 30 TDs and 15 Interceptions. In 2000 he threw 20 TDs and 15 Interceptions. So in 2 years he threw for 50 TDs while throwing 30 Interceptions.

Different coaches = different priorities. jmo.

You’re absolutely right and only sets an example of why I’m not worried. Brian is a competitor.

He has speed and vision. He makes people miss. He is terrible in pass pro. Pretty good receiver out of the backfield.

Anyone saying Gray isn’t good is sour grapes. Yes he sucked in pass pro but he was our best weapon. Gray is the one guy I don’t get mad at the transfer. I get the feeling he got caught in the ncaa stuff and was encouraged to find another place mutually. He was one that truly loved TN. The others not so much besides Henry but his dad is jaded
