I think Pruitt was in way over his head from the git, he knew it and didn’t what to admit it out loud or to himself, long before most of us fans wanted to admit or face it. It’s a shame and was a breaking point to a lot of fans, me including. . I can still be counted in the sunshine pusher category and carry my Vol fan card with pride, this is going to be a long butttttttt, I’m having a hard time to have much interest in football. (That’s rough for me).
NFL record means nothing for college coaches.
And I’m not upset GS isn’t here but the dude is a good college HC. In the 20 years before he arrived at Rutgers they never won more than 7 games. He did it 6x from 2001-2011 with two 8 win seasons, two 9 win seasons, and an 11 win season. Had Rutgers of all places consistently winning football games.
Offense will be good and the defense will be average. We’ll be good on the DL and in the secondary
Idk, the only position I feel like we are thin at is LB, our DL and secondary is returning a lot of guys and should be solid
ESPN hates us also.To your point:
ESPN has us ranked 117 for returning production, 103 on offense, and 107 on defense. It may be interesting to focus on what is driving those rankings.
On offense we return 28% of our passing yards, 46% of our receiving yards, and 14% of our rushing yards.
On defense we return 81% of our secondary production, 94% of our defensive line production, and 27% of our linebacker production.
We return 51% of our wide receiver yards, 100% of our TE receiving yards, and 6% of our running back receiving yards.
