I don't think it's ignorance on their part so much as ignorance from the intended audience. "Ghost gun" sounds really dangerous and serious so people accept it's not really gun control and allow the move. An enterprising young man in the hood could make a lot of money with some tools and a cc thoughWhich is why their ignorance again gets in the way of anything actually happening. They are too ignorant to effectively legislate or EO the precieved problem.
SBR ban will get the bump stock treatment and get bounced from the courts.
I was thinking the bit on ghost guns was buying the "specs" of the gun, and not the gun itself. Although I guess what you are saying is someone is using the specs to make the pieces and then selling the unfinished pieces?
They use vague language to allow themselves to grab more than what they are mentioning at this time. Are they trying to ban SBRs? I mean those are the most regulated types of firearms out there. I can see them trying to make folks register their AR pistols but the reality is the stamps are nothing but a money grab and will do nothing to stop shootings. I have the exact same AR pistol that the terrorist in Colorado used but it’s not like he tried to conceal it or sneak it in anywhere. He just pulled it out and started shooting the same way he could’ve a 9mm or an AR rifle or anything else. Wonder what will happen when someone goes crazy with a shotgun.
The dementia patient is speaking right now trying to sell hisEOs on braces. It’s gonna go down in flames just like Trump’s bump stock directive did. Hell the bump stock has a direct impact on trigger function. This stupid EO just affects pointing means. Absolutely stupid.
