if they decide to stay in the family, Damon Stoudamire and Miles Simon could be possibilities.

'Zona would never admit it, but they fired Miller because he didn't win enough. You keep your job as long as your strengths outweigh your baggage. He had a lot of baggage, so he needed a lot of strengths to compensate, and going .500 in conference play the last 3 years isn't good enough.

He would be a good hire for Auburn if somehow Bruce Pearl left or was fired

Because he couldn’t cheat anymore lol. The season after he got busted they were awful and it’s been a struggle since.

They should have fired him sooner and snagged Craig Smith.

Joe Pasternack is a former assistant who has done well at UC Santa Barbara.

He doesn’t have much on the resume yet, but Kyle Smith at WSU looks like a promising coach who has had a couple successful stints.

Granted a program like Arizona could ordinarily do better but not sure what the stench of the NCAA will do to the job.

They were pretty good season but not having the tournament those players were basically a waste
Not really...they went 10-8 in Pac 12 play with the two 5-stars and lost to the 2 good non-conference opponents they played (Baylor and Gonzaga). They likely would have been a bubble team. Not being able to cheat did not seem to hurt his ability to get talent.

Bracket matrix had them as a 7 seed and they were ranked 19th in KenPom. And their recruiting did fall off. It’s still Arizona it’s not like they can’t get good recruits if they aren’t cheating but their recruiting did fall off some.

Bad year for the Miller boys.

Meanwhile Kansas gave their cheatin SOB a lifetime contract.
The lifetime contract is a bit overblown. Yes they gave it to him, but there’s an out, with a reasonable buyout, should they choose to move on from him. The contract was mainly done for recruiting purposes. KU’s recruiting had been suffering the past couple of years because no one knows what Self’s future is.

They signed two 5-stars right after that scandal. If that's "recruiting falling off" sign me up. His most recent class wasn't as impressive, still good but no 5-stars. That could have been caused by worries about his job security just as easily as not being able to cheat anymore.

They were consistently pulling in the 3rd ranked class for like 10 years.
