No - OSU was his dream job. He is a native and played at Cincy. He just burned out on the college game and had nagging health issues.

In previous interviews, Urban has stated he grew up a Notre Dame fan due to his Catholic upbringing. He was offered the job in 2004 but chose Florida because they had a better roster. I would say his dream job WAS Notre Dame, but I don't think he has any allegiances anymore.

It’s hard not to get excited seeing these guys in action (and pressers). There’s substance here and not just coach speak.

Stand corrected if so. He told some guys I knew growing up when he was at UC he wanted to coach at OSU even though they didn't recruit him. He went on and was a grad assistant there.

Were Boogie and DJ not happy?

Somewhat. Boogie played well down the stretch, but it was after Lomax got hurt. He played more PG and played better. Thought is he may go home to play at San Diego State.

They had high expectations for Jeffries, and while he was solid, he had trouble fitting in and asserting himself after they added Williams and Cisse.

Whiteheads only chance of seeing the field is at LB. most teams told him that during the recruiting process. Foot injury didn’t help him coming out of HS last year. Pruitt promised him a shot at RB knowing he would realize his role was LB sooner than later. I’m expecting Whitehead to realize it before fall....
