Disclaimer: This is optimistic, and I feel like this with every coach...

I think We’ve got our coach but it is going to take longer to get traction than we want. Fortunately AD White knows this well and is patient enough.

It may look like
4-8
6-6
5-7 Recruiting uptick, but not really contributing largely till year 6...
7-5
8-4

...
Pass

Banks wasn’t told to transfer. The coaches and players should determine what the consequences should be.

I would not have children if I went with your way of thinking.

Again, I ask: What are the true charges against them?

There are first time offenses that are not acceptable such as rape, child abuse/pedophile, major assault, murder, etc.
Unless those are the charges, I am willing to withhold my judgement and see what the team and coaches decide.
That is the only approach we as fan should take. If one disagrees, then they should become a coach and see how they handle real problems.

I figured we had a winner when I read what Bob Stoops said when he fired JH at Oklahoma. He said it was the hardest decision he's ever made when firing a coach. Someone had to go from that Oklahoma team and Stoops was not gonna fire his brother on defense. I really have my doubts about our fan base giving this staff enough time to get their players here though.

If it galvanizes the PosiVOLS and OptiVOLS against the NegaVOLS and “Realists” then I like our chances.

The Negas currently far outnumber the OptiVOLS, but they have shown in the past that they will fold at the first sign of adversity.

When we are 3-0 rolling into the gator game, they will be confused and mill about with no clear direction. Once we steamroll the gators (even by one point🤠) they will be reeling and many will lapse into coma.

When the Vols are 6-0 and headed to Tuscaloosa, regardless of the outcome, we will need to resuscitate the Legion of the Miserable.

As a point of fact, right now we need the Legion to notify VN of their status. Full code? Or DNR? (Do Not Resuscitate) If they don’t tell us prior to kickoff of the first game against Bowling Green, then they are automatically registered as DNR. That’s with full organ donation too.

I would argue that over the last eight games, they were definitely among the worst in history. They lost to Kentucky by four TDs.

You may be right. That Vandy team was the only win and they were terrible even before they got decimated by COVID.

My hope is the crappy performance was driven by poor QB play and not indicative of an awful overall talent level. The Kentucky game is a good example. JG threw 2 pick sixes and the only offensive TD they scored the Vols ran 11 straight times. With a competent SEC QB that game is probably at least close.

So maybe they were an average SEC team talent wise with a terrible QB. If that's right then Heupel may be able to put together a decent season (6 or 7 wins) if QB play improves.

So, to quote Michael Scott "No question about it, I am ready to get hurt again."

Butler on transfers: All of Vols' veterans have 'considered leaving'

“Regarding Henry and Q, I mean, for sure, those are guys who are on the bubble, obviously,” Butler said. “And, of course, we wouldn’t mind having them back. But, at the same time, they have to do what they have to do. When they make the best decision for themselves, I’m rooting for them all the way.

“And if they make the decision to come back here, then, of course, I’m rooting for them all the way on two levels. I mean, they’re part of the team that I’m on — the University of Tennessee football program — and, also, those are people who I’m close with.

“Those are people who I’ve been to war with, been to fight with — blood, sweat, tears, ups, downs, everything in between. So never any hard feelings or anything like that.”
