Team shoots 5 more threes than Oregon State at a 19% clip to their 47.6%

I’m sitting here wondering if that’s is a great troll job or just pure stupidity, we had open shots it’s just Pon’s, JJJ, viscovi, and Bailey were major let downs in this game shooting wise and that killed us simple as that.

We get Barnes after being **** over and over again...he then makes us relevant, then we want him gone after he brings back the basketball program. Not his fault some fans think we are a blue blood now lol.

Now I understand why our football team is ****. Fans keep running all of our success out the building.

I will say if the offense doesn't go without someone like that, then you have to make sure you recruit someone like that or change your offense

Agreed I think Barnes was banking on vescovi developing more into that but he simply is better as a combo guard which should work perfect next year, pons and Fulkerson didn’t develop like they should have. The only people that truly took the next step as the year went on were the freshman and they are getting ready for better competition in the nba

Look, I love Rick and think he’s clearly a top 3 coach all time here and arguably top 2, but I get why this is so frustrated. I’m frustrated. We have talent.

Desperation or not when the only guys who are scoring are the freshman then that is a problem, the upperclassman killed us in this game. We needed pons, vescovi, and Bailey to shoot at the clip they are capable of and they didn’t...

Hes been a HC since 1988. He has 1 final four. Has under achieved his seed 3 years in a row. I think thats a solid sample size.

Not many were “desperation.” We had open shots in the first half. But that’s you.

Almost every game in this tournament has been a low scoring game and I don’t think it’s because great defense.

You recruit as best you can, but you can't make kids say yes. I'd love if Paolo Banchero were coming to UT. Barnes recruited him. He said no. Same for Jabari Smith. It's not as simple as "recruit someone like that" when kids say no thanks.

Bailey's never met a shot he didn't like. He just misses most of the time.

This team had no offensive identity the entire season. Kept thinking one or two of them would take charge, but they didn't. Without a good PG, there really wasn't much chance. If Barnes is to blame for how anything turned out, it is for how he recruited. The guards are all 2's with JJJ playing the 4.

Need to make changes in his staff as well.
