Defense is 100% athleticism + effort. Most great offensively players can be great defenders if you get them playing hard. Just recruit pure scorers man! Much easier to teach defense than teach offense.

This. I felt like we were Jeremy Pruitt basketball. Boring @$$ low scoring focus all on defense.

This team just never found their identity with the abbreviated season, lack of full camp and being so young.

Hopefully things improve next year, I legit think both Keon & Jaden would benefit a ton from returning but I doubt either do.

Chandler, Mashack, Vescovi, Bailey, JJJ. MAYBE BHH. That’s literally all we have and that’s maybe a tourney team next year but nothing special. Possibly a bubble team. First 4 out possible.

I think many fans knew before the season that the best bet for this team to be good on offense was to go with a small lineup and run run run. Barnes decided to put his money in his half court offense and Fulky. Whatevs dude. We have the athletes to run and finish at the rim. I blame this season 100% on Barnes. He didn't put these players in the best position for offensive success.

He actually tried to change this team’s identity in February, but waited too late. It was obvious we weren’t going to be able play inside-out offense in early January. We had no bigs and no shooters.

Barnes usually underachieves. It's just the facts. Great game plan by Oregon State. Early fouls on Pons and no Fulky were disasterous and the Oregon State center having a season high and not missing a shot plus UT shooting 20% from 3s while Oregon State shooting almost 50% is such a way for UT to end this season.

Barnes struck gold with Grant and Admiral but they also played hard every game. Same can’t be said for this team. Barnes has refused to sign a post and shooters.

Refused? He's been unable to, but he hasn't refused. That's just dumb.

I am just as frustrated as anyone on here but don't understand calling for Barnes head. Glad he is our HC and hope he stays for a while. Hope we can find some O next year. I do wish we had a couple of inside big guys that can take it to the basket with their backs to the goal.

Barnes is a good coach. Will never win us a championship in the SEC Tourney. This was a golden year and he blew it. UK will be good again next year.

Effing embarrassing ! Barnes didn't have 'em ready to play. Hell, did we even scout this team, they absolutely abused our great defense. Ruins the whole effing Tournament for me. No, I only had UT winning 2 games, so it didn't destroy my bracket. I just thought we had more heart than this, if Oregon St beats us and played as well as they did, today, I tip my hat to 'em. But to completely get blown out from the start, I cannot effing stomach that. Barnes should be ashamed and take some blame for once. Now, our best 3 players are gone, at least, what a waste of that talent. I'm not depressed, I'm despondent

Horrible take. This was supposed to be the deepest team we’ve had in years. JJJ, Fulkerson, Bailey, Pons, Vescovi, all got worse and failed to lead.

We still lose with him. Many overhyped him his whole career. Was always a hustle player who cleaned up better players messes. We were always in trouble when he was supposed to be “the guy”.
