Watching NCAA Wrestling Championships this weekend, then time for Spring Football.

Kid from Campbell going against OkSt in double OT got completely screwed... everyone in NCAA sports can review the clock... the clock didn't move on 7 seconds... should have been like 1.5 sec left, so no time for the BS takedown... what a demoralizing/deflating loss when it could have so easily been fixed...

I decided not to do a bracket this year. I am going to try to enjoy the tournament in its purest form. We will see how that goes.

I just took a blank piece of paper, crumpled it up, and threw it away. Same result of filling out a bracket without all of the effort of filling out a bracket.

Give it a try. Park City has lots of options-- plenty of blue and green runs. It's a cool place-- I think you'd like it.

I think Vail/Beaver Creek has one of the best blend of green/blue/black options with premium runs/Mtns. in the country... add in the social/restaurants/shopping and it's gotta be top 3 as far as total package...

This isn't NBA vs WNBA though, and Women's college basketball raked in north of 1 billion in revenue during the 2019 fiscal year. Most hotels have better fitness rooms than what they are set up with in the bubble.

What did the men bring in? What were the expenses?

Don't care, doesn't matter.

As presented this is a slap in the face to these athletes who, as far as I'm aware, are equal to the men in that they are giving their best effort to bring a championship home to their respective school. If your daughter were a woman's college basketball player you would be fuming. They don't even have basic equipment. A cursory effort was not even made. This is less than no effort. This is what you do if you purposefully want to insult someone.

I would get it if we were here saying well the women's workout area is only 3500 sq ft compared to the 10000 sq ft for the men. I'm not saying that a disparity isn't practical. This isn't that.

I'm holding out hope that this is a misunderstanding or somehow the pictures aren't showing the entirety of the women's set up.

I would make those conference tourney winners 11 seeds and have all play in start at 16.
In theory it sounds like a better idea, but I dont like it. Should Hartford really waste an 11 seed spot? A P5 11 seed could make a run most 16 seeds dont have a chance so it would be basically free squares for whoever gets lucky enough to play them.

Fred's is out of business so the closest comparison I could find is Dollar General. Here's the Dollar General corporate office.

So, that metaphor...

Plus it will devalue the 1 seeds if they're not playing one of the 8 lowest ranked teams (#s 61-68)

I think it’s absolutely pitiful not to give better than that but the men’s game brings in 880,000 typically for the ncaa tournament while the women’s tournament is not self sustaining yet.

Wow...that's pathetic. Some yoga mats, a table and a DB tree from Wal-Mart that stops at 25lbs.... (for those without IG or not wanting to click a link)

Do women basketball players do as much in weight work? I have no idea. Seems like they would do light weight and more conditioning/agility work but that is my uninformed opinion.

Now the food and merchandise difference is messed up but there is also a major interest and money difference in the two tourneys as much as people want to pretend it should be even.

My dream scenario:
TN meets Loyola in Sweet 16 and we get revenge to advance to Elite 8.

What probably happens:
TN runs Oregon St. Liberty upsets OK St. we get excited and cocky and lose to Liberty in Rd 2

No. Just trying to get a select group of people to extract their head from their derriere. Seems like you might be part of the group that needs extraction. Line forms in the back.
You're so adorable @delfonic if you truly believe that's the females workout area in their bubble I got some beach side property for you in the great smoky mountains

It actually does based on the comment I responded to.
