Swanson'd just means you post something and someone else has already (recently) posted it. Typically Ron beats most folks to the punch with breaking news stuff, especially if the source is VQ.

If you're really late in commenting or sharing news it's a "Thank You Jimmy" reply, these are the way things are and have been since before the mask times.

I looked at all the complaints I could find from UCF fans about Heupel because as I've previously noted I'm not dismissing anything out of hand this time around. Anyway this was one of the items in the list I put together:

  • For some UCF fans one of the knocks on Heupel is he shows no emotion. Others say well he was following Scott Frost and that wasn’t going to be easy for anyone. – At Tennessee Heupel hired Mike Ekeler – Nuff said.

Yeah, I am a Henry T fan I think he's a good dude and wish him the best. But his choice to remove himself from the team during this period to me as a coach would mean he doesn't want to be on the team. If he asked to return I'd say no thanks, think long term his impact for one season wouldn't outweigh the potential dissension it'd create in the team.

Crouch has been in the trenches the whole time with his brothers hasn't he? If so he's never actually "left" us so to me he's got a spot if he decides to stay.

I agree with you. Not working out with the teammates is a bad thing. Seems to me the "leadership council" should weigh in on that if Henry T indicates he wants to come back. He would have to make a case for it and the team accept him unconditionally before I would open that door to him.

For sure how I'd handle it if I was CJH. "Not up to me Henry, it'll be the decision of the team."

The coaches have chosen to give the portalers flexibility and access. Crouch has been around-- in and out, but not on the same schedule.

Unless something changes, I think they both have a spot.

LA, do you know anything about the eligibility status of some of our players, the ones who hit the transfer portal? Specifically, I'm asking about guys who may have received impermissible benefits? Appreciate anything you can share. TIA.

Agree-- I think they should talk to the team about it. They've put a focus on teambuilding, so there's little upside in weakening that dynamic. But Henry T saying he might come back and physically appearing on campus are two different things. This scenario has been playing out for months. IDK if they'll draw the line at spring practice or not. We're about to find out.

I mean weird situation...I guess the staff figures if they want to show the team they care and it's not just more smoke blowing they gotta do it this way.

What baffles me is that Henry & family aren't seeing what's happening...If Alabama/Saban is basically saying they only want you to transfer IF the rules are in place to allow for immediate eligibility then do they really want you?

HT and QC can return. A couple of others have moved on. A few more might move on after spring. The investigation is ongoing, though. It started with one thing and has gone in multiple directions. UT is going to have to go about its business while the NCAA case continues in the background.

I think the HT family is seeing what's happening and that has fueled the possible return for spring practice. But AFAIK he's still noncommittal-- he's not back till he's wearing that orange on the practice field.
