It seems we have assembled a staff that will actually enjoy being around each other and the players will sense that. Baby steps
UT football is a multi million dollar business. I can finally stop rolling my eyes at the "We finally got ourselves a foot bawh coach" people. Which is code for an idiot. The entire discourse seems to be more cereberal with this staff. That's not to say that there's not passion. There is. The cereberal analytics are intriguing though. Will see how that works in obtaining the understanding of the players around what is being attempted.
Can honestly say I will be cheering for him along with the team.Lord I hope so, but the biggest reason I’m excited about the future is that for the first time in a long time it seems that we have a genuinely good person for a coach. Not a used car salesman or just a plain a&$hole.Doesn’t equate to wins , but is a refreshing start.
He's the poster boy for a shift from team-first to me-first in CFB. He's all about his own goals and advancement, with little loyalty to his teammates or the team. You have to have that healthy balance where everyone's pulling together and players thrive when the team thrives.
Yes, UT was/is broken. And Henry T is making a me-first decision. The two aren't mutually exclusive, and he's far from the only player to do it. You'll see more and more, because CFB is changing and loyalty is weakening. The portal isn't the root cause; it's a symptom.
In his case, if he's already decided he is leaving as is being speculated, why did he not go ahead and leave like the others?Coaches don't have any control over who goes into the portal. Once the player is in the portal, any school can contact him that's interested in him. The player can remain in his current school but the coach can restrict his involvement in team activities. In the case of Crouch, I'm sure he has full access to team activities as the staff tries to recruit him again to stay at UT.
What have we seen that proves he’s a 5 star offensive player? Honest question.
