Good point. I do wish he had stayed because I think he would have been great, but it is not lamentable. We will be fine there.

You guys are probably forgetting something very important here----what if some of these guys that transferred had no choice? I'm thinking they would have been ineligible because of the recruiting violations that will eventually be proven. Even if they stayed and played this year, we would most likely have to vacate any wins due to their being ineligible. That could also be the case with any school that plays them this year. Just a thought.

Baseball has no salary cap, although your point still remains it would blow up a budget.
Technically they do. If you spend over a designated amount, you pay competitive balance taxes on your payroll that the other teams receive. Yankees are regular contributors. 20% the first time...gradually increases.

When I was in the Navy on the west coast I got to seen the Giants and A’s play a number of times and I grew up going to Atlanta with Dad and some of my friends to watch the Braves – but the best baseball I ever enjoyed was watching my friends play in the summer in the various leagues. My sports were football and basketball so other than sandlot I didn’t play baseball. But the atmosphere and the games in the local community added so much to life in those days it might be hard to accurately describe. It was about more than baseball. I mean the games were pretty awesome but having the connection to the players and their families and friends, being one of them is what I remember as being most special. Going to the park for a game was like going to a place where everybody knows your name and they’re all glad that you came. To me that was the best of baseball. The majors had no chance of competing with that. jmo.

Lol this is true.

But I wouldn’t put last years performance all on the players. Even when we replaced the QB our offense still sucked. Our defense was bad all year too.

My whole point is Gray is good. I’ve never understood the criticism of him being a guy that goes down too easy. He wasn’t a power back but I didn’t see it. It’s like people are expecting Jamal Lewis out there.

He was elusive and electric with the ball in his hands and his play making will be missed. But at the same time I don’t have much worry for offense with Heup in charge.

Agree with all of this (I loved Gray in orange), except... he went down pretty easy, if we are comparing to elite backs. How many tackles did he really break or shake in the open field? (I could be wrong about this—just my recollection.)

ok someone tell me I am overreacting but I gave her overnight to make it right but I have absolutely no idea how Plowman decides to tweet about women’s gosh damn tennis twice yesterday and misses the greatest opportunity to highlight her athletes and their love for her university in a positive light by not tweeting the Fulky moment.

Apparently she is too dumb to have any Idea there is so much good that clip of a Tennessee guy showing his undeniable love for this University could do. The more people that see it the better but hey at least she tweets about women’s tennis and international women’s day

Gray was also within 25 yards of being the team’s 2nd leading receiver and he missed a game.

Terrible, terrible pass blocking that needed to improve. But by far one of the best playmakers on the team.
Gray had 250 receiving yards. RB leaders in that category had more than twice that number. Leading rushers had more than twice as many rush yards as he did as well.

I wish he would have stayed because he would have been a "known" and an upperclassmen bringing SEC experience. I think he could have improved tremendously in CJH's offense. But being one of the best playmakers on a bad team doesn't mean much. I'm ready to see our team playing for each other again.

In SEC rushing only Najee Harris had the numbers you speak of. Najee is another level no doubt but also he played in 14 games vs 9. And our OL was terrible for some reason.

I agree I look forward to the team playing for each other. I just personally think EG is a really good player and was one of our top playmakers.

I remember when Catbone said during the first Florida game that we were going to fall apart and wind up a 5 seed and everyone made fun of him and now we’re gonna wind up a 6.

So they guy that screams that EVERYTHING will turn out negative is almost correct and so that is something he is given credit for? lol

Raising kids is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. When they are babies, you really only have to keep them alive. Then they get bigger are start interacting with the world around them. That is when the real work of a parent begins. The world will try to eat them up but parents have to be the shield to keep them from that while simultaneously teaching them to be their own shield. I won't always be able to shield and defend my daughters from the bad things this world will throw at them. My hope and my prayer is that I have done enough and have instilled in them that God is their strength to help them in those times. My oldest is 15. She now has a job and is wanting to get a car soon. Boys are starting to ask her out and I am in a constant state of prayer. I don't know how I will ever sleep easy ever again.

Thanks for allowing me to vent VN.

Bravo!🤌🏼🙏🏽🙏🏽 Again much respect @Glitch ❤️❤️ Everything you said is 100% accurate but if it helps your Conscience any at all...Fate is reality.anything after that is beyond your control all you can do is pray they are healthy and alive.growing up as adults we make our own choices that we have to answer for and depending on which choice we make alters and shapes our lives so the fact shes 15 and trying to do things on her own says a lot about you as a father so I admire that and you should be proud of that!...........keep the Glock loaded for the boys🤘🏽😂
