College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I wanna make up Florida, I think we bust their a$$, I think they have quit in them. Still, it's kinda seems like we do, too, and I hate saying that, but damn, I'm not blind. When we lose, it's ugly, that has to stop, have some effing pride and keep the game close, rather than roll over and show your belly. Anyway, I want 'em again and our players should, too

I've messed around and got effed up on a Tuesday night, but Rock Chalk Jayhawk. Beat Texas, tonight and then get Baylor, Saturday. Vols 81-70, tomorrow

Doesn’t really matter except for spreading an extra regular season makeup game (Florida the Saturday before the SECT) away from the tourney. To get a double bye TN probably has to add a regular season game with Florida. Not scheduling (and beating) Florida means an extra game versus the worst remaining team in the SEC on Thursday in the SECT. And to get that double bye by scheduling and beating FL, TN also has to hold serve versus Vandy and Auburn. It’s looking like a Thursday game versus the Wednesday night winner in the SECT (assuming that TN can hold on to seed #5... which isn’t a lock).

#7 OU goes down to KSU, who is 6-18. Good teams lose.

#5 Illinois loses to Michigan State
#7 Oklahoma loses to Kansas State
#16 Virginia Tech loses to Georgia Tech
#17 Kansas loses to #14 Texas
#24 Missouri loses to Ole Miss

As far as seeding goes those loses could help us if we can find a way to win a couple.

USC was just above us on bracket matrix, quite a few teams in front of us have lost this week, be nice to take advantage and go 2-0 this week.

The in-game adjustments they make is impressive. Almost a brand new team from last year. How in the world do they bring so many new faces together as incoming freshmen and then match them with brand new transfer players like they have appeared to do so far this year and we are not able to bring our 5 star incoming freshmen and match them with our returning players?

We beat Arkansas

Not sure what that response is supposed to prove as I was talking about team cohesion, which obviously occurs throughout the season. Early in the year, advantage should go to team with most returning players (if they are somewhat matched talent wise), but team cohesion/progression throughout the year is much about coaching as well.

If a single win earlier in the year is the goal, then I guess Alabama, Missouri and LSU could say the same thing....but....

So did Alabama the first time around, but not the second. Coaching/development.

So did Missouri the first time around, but not the second. Coaching/development.

So did LSU the first time around, but not so far the second time (although premature since the game is still going on).

Yeah, there’s real good basketball coaches out there, you just gotta be able to find them. Both Ark & Alabama damn good coaches.

We beat Arkansas
We were actually playing like everyone expected in early January, beating Arkansas and Mizzou on the road in a 4 day stretch. Not sure what happened after that because this team would lose by 25 points to Arkansas now
