I'm back my people. We feeling any better about the staff? Any news regarding current players and getting them to stay? I've been out of the loop trying to put my farm back together after that storm.

I haven't seen any news on anymore players leaving. I am excited about the staff. Seems that we have some really good recruiters on both sides of the ball. Still waiting on the last hire and there are some rumors about another coach from Penn State coming just click back a page or two and you can see the info on him but nothing confirmed on that hire yet.

Speaking of music, I turned on the radio after leaving church today and was listening to some sports talk show which was playing Flirting With Disaster as their bumper lead in song prior to discussing Houston Texans mess lol

I hate the unknown, I've also been around for a while, enough to know better than to jump into optimism. But the more I consider this staff a few things stand out. We have some real developmental coaches mixed with solid recruiters. A forward thinking scheme, especially on offense designed to put individuals in positions to make plays.

I think we struggle in defense for a couple of years until we can recruit some talent to replace those that decided they wanted to be elsewhere but I look forward to having a coach who knows how to run a program. I'm in till I ain't.

The modern offensive scheme has me more excited than anything. The last staff made it hard to watch with how behind the times they were

I'm neither in or out. I'm interested in seeing what the product looks like. I bet our defense looks better than during the Pruitt error (yes, I meant that). I think Pruitt was a con man that wasn't the defensive mastermind he was made out to be.

Agree, and they know how to use players to get their full potential. That was one of Butch's faults. Pruitt was an egomaniac and lost as last year's Easter egg in that regard.

For those talking about Heupel needing 5 years, for the first time we have a pretty ideal scenario. NFL people will tell you the ideal scenario is to hire a GM + HC at the same time, that way their clocks are synced as well as their decision making.

White and Heupel being hired at the same time + their prior work together, means everyone can settle in and work toward the common goal, on the same page.

His offense won’t need 5 years. He will have an exciting offense day 1. Defense will need a few years to come around and make it a complete team. It won’t shock me to see him upset some teams early on with an explosive offense

Don't get me wrong, I haven't jumped into the deep end yet, but I'm wading the shallow end of the pool. I'm not claiming he's great, but honestly we don't need great, we just need competent.

For those who aren’t happy with OU this offseason, here’s their kick holder/WR picking a bar fight with the wrong guy (language warning)

Initially thought same thing but kid almost lost his eye so hard to joke about it. Moral story though is people need to stop picking fights as people are agitated even more than normal these days. Likely to run into someone the unleashes a load of stress and may not stop

Lots of amateur wrestlers in Oklahoma. Probably not a good sign when the little guy you are messing with turns to his friend and says “which one do you want?”

The success of the defense in many respects with an up-tempo offense will depend on turnover ratio. Can't quite get my head around the role defensive coaching will play in building an advantage here but my gut tells me that attitude and aggression, both coachable traits, are an important factor in these respects so that progress with respect to D could be quicker than many would imagine.

Thank goodness those dudes did what should have been done. The level of disrespect that goes on this world unchecked is one of the main problems. People are way too comfortable just spewing bullish with no consequences.

Bravo. 👏🏻👏🏻

Lol this is the guy the Kicker got in a fight with, he was a very good College Wrestler and teaches MMA 😂

As my dad has always said. No fight is ever fair, so you might as well start off with a kick to the balls and figure the fighting out afterwards.
