Ah. So you are basically looking at the Ober Gatlinburg ski slope “snow” that made skiing in the 70’s so exciting!

“Frozen granular” —> close your eyes and hope for the best.

I never skied The Burg but I did ski Sky Valley Ga once, which I can only imagine being a shittayer version of Gatlinburg.
