Hman, do you remember Christmas 63 or so with the epic snowstorm? We drove from Texas, took three days. Then when we got there, I came down with flu and was stuck in bed the whole time while my cousins were out playing in the snow.

Yep, pipes froze in part of the house. Elec was out for about 24 hrs last week and the pipes froze. Now, they wait for them to thaw and hope the pipes didn't burst

It’s all ice. There is now a blanket of snow on top of it that will help compact these loose granules of sleet into a nice solid sheet. It’s dangerous.

Ah. So you are basically looking at the Ober Gatlinburg ski slope “snow” that made skiing in the 70’s so exciting!

“Frozen granular” —> close your eyes and hope for the best.
