The inherent stereotypes work to our detriment in both ways.
At the youth level, There are plenty of “Christian Mcaffery’s”
I see them all the time.
And They end up getting moved or change sports altogether.
Anecdotally, I have 3 high school lacrosse players who I keep telling “uou guys would KILL at skill positions on the football field”
but they’re no longer interested.

Good point. There is definitely a flight to other sports perceived as safe, although I’ve read there are more concussions in soccer and lacrosse than football but perception beats reality most every time... are you able to share where you coach? In Tennessee?

Smart should have been suspended a long time ago too. The NCAA has all the information they need to hammer LSU but they just drag their feet.

This is just such a frustrating season. I remember how high we all were, dreaming of 1 seeds and Final Fours and what not, then the Alabama game happened and since then we'll have maybe 1 or 2 games where I feel like we can make some noise in postseason play, and then just a total dud like the Florida game or how this one's looking like it's going to turn out and I feel like we're out in the first round.

I said early on that this team would go as far as their three point shooting would take them and I was harassed for it. The book is out and has been, be physical with us and make us hit the three. We're a finesse team. That doesn't like contact. When you have officials swallow their whistle if we don't hit the three we can't score.

Meanwhile we self report and give ourselves the death penalty in football. I hate this program. Wish I wasn't a Tennessee fan but oh well
