1) A handful of black candidates have been said to be a part of the current DC search.

2) Now there is a full blown discussion on race and relations.

If all the candidates had been white, would such a discussion be happening?

This isn't a negative comment toward anyone, just a general observation of how many of us perceive what the norm is.

I think the biggest reason the discussion has taken place this search is because it was suggested that UT was not diverse in their search for a DC. Not sure why this is the case this go around, because their last DC was also a black coach.

We as a Law making and Abiding society have never been able to come to grips that you can not legislate the Morality of the masses. Anytime you try and dictate behavior you will inevitably get push back from those feeling their behavior is being targeted and the more the delegation is pushed the harder the push back. The only thing that will change the ethos of a community is a real and thoughtful line of communication that is centered around trust and proof. The trust that you are being honest and the proof you are making an effort for change by your actions.

We as a Country can truly accomplish great things, we have all seen it but yet we fail miserably at the basic concept that we are all in this together when dealing with each other in everyday life. I would hope my skin color would not matter in the way you would interact with me on the street but to often it does. There is no trust simply because of a perception of who or what I am. There is not proof that you or I are willing to take steps to end that perception so we just walk on by. Sometimes all it takes is a smile and a kind word but sadly so many aren't willing to do the little things in order to achieve what we all really want.......Fairness and civility for everyone. We can all do better if we are being honest no matter what your race, religion or social up bring may be.

Anosike has probably shot about 30 shots all year. 25 of which have been WIDE open layups and he’s shooting about 25% on those. One of the worst players I’ve ever seen at UT.

And honestly, two candidates who happen to be black have turned us down. It's not as if anyone can scream racism in this case.
