I had the strangest dream in my medicated state late last night. I think I remember people expressing their opinions and nobody threw anything or yelled or call anybody names it was really civil and very informative......then we chased the little animals around in a big grass field and just laughed. It was such fun , then I woke up ....I think. Anyway here come the nice men with.......you guessed it .............. SKITTLES !!!!!! WWOOOOHHOOOOO LIVING THE DREAM BABY !!!!

A staff with Charlie Strong as DC, coaching ILBs, Garner coaching the DL, T-Will coaching OLBs, and T-Rob coaching DBs would have been formidable. IMO. But what ifs don't mean squat. I just hope we end up with someone who can get the job done. Not feeling too confident on that happening.

Did you know there is a canal in New Orleans named the Irish Channel? Do you know why it was named that? When they dug it the disease was so bad that approximately 3000 Irish perished digging it. Know why? Because slaves were too valuable to use. They found it cheaper to use newly arrived Irish and with what they paid them it was cheaper. I was told this with a group of tourists by the National Park Service guide that gave us the walking tour about 23 years ago. Was that systemic racism at work? Which way?

I was born in East Knoxville, out on Strawberry Plains. We had 8 kids in a house with no water, no plumbing and a wood stove for cooking. My mother died when I was five leaving us with only our father who worked at the local lime kiln. One of my brothers had meningitis twice, one of my sisters once. We all went to a one room school in Strawberry Plains. The first time I used a toilet I was six years old and it scared the hell out of when it flushed. (I had never heard one flush before) I thought I had broken it and would be in trouble. When I was six my father remarried and we moved to Burlington in Knoxville and I lived on Hillside Avenue. I grew up there but no one told me I was white trash or poor, so I did not know any better. So I was able to have a somewhat normal life. People like you come along and label everyone and everything and divide us and stoke grievances.

You can EAD with your "systemic racism", and until we tell people like you this you will keep spouting your hateful rhetoric.

We all have stories. Yours is a compelling one and no one can take that from you. I appreciate you sharing it, and applaud you for overcoming a lot of tough circumstances. There is also systemic racism. You sharing your life story is a good lesson for others to hear. It doesn’t change the facts, and facts have nothing to do with hate.

Also conservatism is not a strictly white thing either.There are black conservatives but I know the percentages are not very high.A big part of the problem is that conservatism has been unfairly linked with racism.Myself,I don’t judge a person by the color of their skin but some people have no problem assuming I am racist because I am conservative. I do think that black people are treated differently by law enforcement officers sometimes. I recently witnessed a black man trying to catch a bus trying to go to work being asked for his I’d by an officer. I will say I am glad I am not a cop having to face situations that they face sometimes and I will also say that I am very much supportive of law enforcement.

The next time the man with the glasses that doesn't talk much comes in I'll ask. All he really does is say "I see" and nods a lot. I think he must own the place because the people in the coats do what ever he says.

A decade away before its even a chance?

Each of the last 3 coaches we have hired that failed and were eventually fired won 6 games at least once in tenures of 3 - 5 seasons. Dooley was the only one of the 3 not to win 8 games at least once. Pruitt and Jones got to 8 wins or more 3 times in 8 years.

Heupel is far from a guarantee of ultimate success in this conference. But you dont have to be that to win 6 - 8 games. We ve already proven that over the last 3 failed coaches and 11 seasons.
