Is @VolinWayne just preaching to the converted with these repeated posts from "The Gateway Pundit" and "One America News" alleging proof of voter fraud involving Dominion voting systems?

There is a lot wrong with America and I would start with the amount of extremist views which are on display from both sides of the aisle... and how these views are becoming increasingly main stream from within the American political discourse. As much as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Maxine Waters are to blame for this, so are Marjorie Taylor Greene, Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz. The lunatic fringe and their conspiracy theories have been normalized.

If you believe that, have a real conversation. Questioning the election has happened on both sides. And, what Hawley and Cruise did is not unordinary.

I believe there is a democrat that was running for congress that is blaming voting machines right now. But, it’s not a big story because it’s a democrat.

Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz are both Harvard-educated attorneys and Constitutional scholars who have clerked for Supreme Court Justices. They were both well aware that Donald Trump no longer had a pathway within the framework of the United States Constitution towards overturning the results of the 2020 Presidential Election on January 6th. Their votes to object to the certification of the electoral college vote totals were politically partisan and intellectually dishonest. They were pandering to the Trump base of support, because they both have ambitions of running for the nomination of the Republican Party in 2024. Those were not conscientious objections. Those were acts of political posturing. Those men are not solutions to the problems facing this country. They are instead root elements of those problems.

But, they have the right to ask for a investigation. And, there really needed to be one because half the country believes that there was wrong doing in the election. But, canceling, blocking and calling people names because of their beliefs is only going to further divide the Country. A investigation would have calmed people’s minds, no matter the outcome.

Who is stopping an investigation? I thought the My Pillow guy had proof. Why isn't Trump taking that proof to court? Or the My Pillow guy? Or anyone?

Investigations should be left up to the individual states, and they did more than just ask for an investigation. Their votes against certification were intellectually dishonest. Josh Hawley's fist pump to the crowd in front of the Capitol was an especially dumb move from such a well-educated person. He should have had better judgment than that. In retrospect, the optics are terrible.

And give me a break with that last line. An investigation would never appease someone who is of a mind to believe the election was rigged.

States changed election laws unconstitutionally. How is that alright? If it would have benefited republicans, the dem Congress and Senate would have done the exact same thing.

Donald Trump's Attorney General, William Barr, did conduct an investigation into allegations of voter fraud/cheating in the 2020 Presidential election, and he determined that there wasn't proof of systemic voter fraud significant enough to have had an impact on the outcome.

Did Attorney General Barr's investigation calm anyone's mind who suspected that there had been fraud? No, because Donald Trump ignored Barr's findings, and a Senate investigation would not have changed anyone's mind either. People will only trust the result of an investigation if it confirms what they want to believe.

Wait, answer these questions. I’ve argued my side but you keep doing this. If laws were changed to favor republicans, would the dem Congress and Senate sat still and done nothing? My answer, no they would have done the same as Hawley and Cruise.

Did the States in question break Federal and their own state constitution? I don’t care whether a judge denied the case or not.

You are missing the point. That had already been adjudicated. Lawsuits had been filed in states such as Pennsylvania, retroactively challenging the expansion of mail-in voting as being unconstitutional. Those suits were dismissed by the respective State Supreme Courts.

Assuming these sentences in bold are true, that doesn't make what Hawley and Cruz did right. On Wednesday January 6th, there was no longer a path to victory for Donald Trump. The electoral college had already met over 3 weeks earlier and they had cast their votes. The recounts and even hand recounts were over. The State Supreme Courts had made their rulings, and the Supreme Court of the United States had declined to get involved. The election was over. And yet, there was Hawley and Cruz grandstanding for Trump supporters to see who could be the first bootlicker to kiss the ring of dear leader. They knew the results could not be overturned at that point. They persisted with a vote to object to the electoral college count, and they made horse's asses of themselves just before a riot, by pandering to the very people who would be engaging in the riot. It was reckless and irresponsible... and they knew better.

How about Time magazine laying out how they manipulated all social media through disinformation and censorship, had over 400 million dollars to spend making sure Trump couldnt win....then bookface leader Zuckerberg gave them another 300 million because the half a billion they had wasnt gonna be enough to change all the state laws, censor conservatives at every turn, feed the complicit media MSM all of their talking points.....it is endless.

Trump supporters have insisted over the last four years on this forum that a coordinated social media effort (Russian-based disinformation and propaganda) in favor of one candidate over another, could not possibly sway enough votes to change the outcome of a presidential election. Your whining is a little hard to sympathize with in light of that.
