yeah we are so stupid not to have just hired him at the start, bring in Garner and someone else good paying premiums, and we'd probably have pulled a few transfers by now on defense and would at least have a level defense and someone who's experienced, played the other SEC teams, and can recruit.... but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

I think the philosophy is different with JH. Steele is a good DC but he wants a DC that takes more risks and is more aggressive. Also think Steele JH and DW are in an awkward position. Probably uncomfortable

As we've seen, that doesn't happen immediately. We've gotten plenty of guys raises and new, shiny titles.

It's going to go something like this: Washington will tell Ohio State he's staying and that will leak to Football Scoop or Rivals or something. They will report it, we will move to another candidate, then in like two or three days, Ohio State will release something about a pay raise for AW.

And, none of this has happened, yet; which makes me think the dude is still mulling it over.

I would much rather have a guy like Gillespie than Steele. I know recruiting would be better with a Steele led defensive staff, but I really think scheme, coaching and play calling would be overall better with a guy like Gillespie against todays offenses.

I can't beliieve it, but AD White has locked down leaks on both sides ... he's going to make a big announcement about this DC hire like he wanted to with the HC hire.
He was taken off guard by the ravenous fan base and leaks, and had his thunder stolen the first go around.
He's gonna have his thunder this time, by golly.
Like a Bauws. (that's "boss" for those not educated in the language of the screets.)
