The unfortunate thing about the leaks from OSU side regarding contract figures is now we are going to extremely overpay for a small school DC. Gillespie has all the leverage now.

I think he may be the better choice though all things being considered.

Washington would be better help recruiting, I think there is little doubt about that...but...we have zero idea how good he is at building a defense or calling plays. With Gillespie you have proof of those things.

I was in on Washington because of his potential until this vacillation bull. He obviously doesn't want to be here that bad, and I am over it...I hate begging..it is embarrassing.

The hilarious part is that Brian Baker is a DL coach for the Colts, and Blake Baker is a coach at Miami.

Since we are telling some truths about insiders, there has never been less of an insider than @MetalVolunteer. He is the most obvious fake insider I have seen, and I’ve seen em all at this point. Whew, glad to get that one off of my chest.

Family is important but sometimes you need to make a move if you want to get promoted. This is a major reason that people change jobs in the business world. However... whether he can put a decent staff together might be the biggest hurdle in our situation. He is not going to come here if he is set up for failure.

Regarding the family and hometown thing, you don't get in the coaching profession...especially the college coaching profession...without the understanding that opportunities (now here/nowhere) take you away from home. It's just the nature of the beast. A huge perk would be if your job keeps you close to home, but that is not the reason coaches coach, and is much more often the exception rather than the rule.
