Makes sense.

Most of these cats are being recruited by top tier programs that win consistently, meanwhile we’re on our 6th HC since 2008.

Tbh I’m not sure how we ever land any elite prospects (besides McD’s bags of cash).
Some kids want to do there own thing and not go to a bama for example. I think elite offensive kids will want to come here once they see this offense. Gonna need some elite recruiters on the defensive side of the ball

If many of the instate guys cannot see what a failure Pruitt was and are unwilling to give Heupel time to build relationships with them and give them a chance, then there's nothing anyone can do. It stinks, but Heupel's doing everything that he should do in reaching out to so many instate guys. The addition of Lawson to his recruiting staff will help him in state over time.

Lmao...if we were really going after Brown....wtf are we doing?
2019 his defense gave up 37ppg in 12 games.

This past year they gave up 29.3 in 10 games.
Brown inherited basically nothing on defense at Louisville. Petrino burned the program to the ground. He has shown improvement each year. They played multiple games with 3-5 defensive starters out with Covid. Full strength, he held ND to 12 points. Brown plays an aggressive attacking defense which is what JH wants. Brown is a good recruiter and is squeaky clean. That is why we went after him.
When we offered him, Louisville stepped up to keep him. Very good raise and promotion to associate HC. He is loyal to Satterfield who gave him his first break.
Caleb Calhoun knows nothing. Brown did not turn us down because we are toxic. Yet, Calhoun got a click

I just don't think the NCAA stuff is gonna be that big of deal. We investigated ourselves; we turned ourselves in; we publicized everything that happened, and then we fired the whole staff. What more do they want? And if they tried, just hold up a picture of Will Wade and move on. I would issue a bowl ban for this season and tell the NCAA to mind their business because we took care of ours.

Nowadays the wait is a major part of the punishment. Because of staff cutbacks at the NCAA office some think it will take 24 months before the NCAA reviews and concludes our case. That period of uncertainty is what really ties a weight around our necks, holding us back with recruits. Then finally the verdict can come forth and hopefully we get “time served” assuming we self impose bowl bans and reduce visits and/or scholarships.

Dua Lipa is a type of Colombian candy that's like Twix but translates to Two Female Lips. It got its start from an ancient Aztec tale about a girl who was cursed with midget arms but the rest of her body, legs and head were standard sized for being two faced. Hence Two Female Lips. They actually have a festival just before Easter to give a reminder that telling lies is frowned upon. The towns people would make a version of the candy, Dua Lipa. One is sour and one is sweet.
88 finishing the story....

If Huepel can’t see that Steele is the obvious choice for DC over Jancek, we are doomed. If we want a championships, still don’t know what chasing championships means, you have to recruit. Steele’s staff would be impressive and we would finally be able to recruit a solid DL.

Maybe we should just accept that we are at the Mizzou, KY level now if those are the guys we are going after. KC guys is intriguing coming off a super bowl.

My interest in recruiting is fading. I’ve seen us sign up some damn good players and then go lose to teams who have classes rated way worse than UT’s.

I want to see on-field results. Just give me somebody who can consistently get us to 8-4 with a bad year being 7-5 and the opportunity to get hot and pull a couple upsets and end up 10-2 or 11-1.

Winning recruiting has done nothing for us. We still barely beat teams like USCe and Mizzou (and get our azz beat by them on occasion). We still lose to UK and a crappy ARK team. We out-recruit all of those teams on an annual basis. And we still get spanked by FL who has similar recruiting averages as us.

I know we need the Jimmy and Joes but for the love of all that is holy, just. bring. me. wins.

This was his 2nd season there. The only reason ppg was less than 19' was because of 2 less games. That's it.

These players that we are supposedly "too late" to recruit can't even sign until ESD about 10 months from now. AP and all the other media hacks don't think we can make up ground in 10 months? Gloom and doom is convenient, easy and lazy.
If we show a pulse, we should get some of these guys.

I ain’t buying the too late excuse.

This is why you don't like leaks. Oh this didn't work out. He must have rejected them. Let me talk about how bad Tennessee is and won't be able to find a coach. Was there any fact at all in that write up?

He literally said it's hard to know how far the talks got. He knows nothing and is writing it from a place of fact. It's nauseating and bad journalism.
Also, he knows that Tennessee fans will read the article, even if it’s to comment on how terrible it is. He really doesn’t care because it gets him clicks and attention. Facts don’t matter, clicks do.

Speaking of children, how is Drew doing?

He started his third round of chemo earlier this week. Symptoms have been about what you’d expect. For the first time in three months he hasn’t needed a blood transfusion so that’s pretty great. He’s very exhausted. And if he doesn’t start eating and putting on weight they’ll be forced to insert a feeding tube. He’s in rough shape but good spirits. The latest MRI showed the slightest most tiny shrinkage so we’re resting in that victory for now. The staff is great my brother said. They have a teacher at the treatment center that keeps him up to date on school work. She’s tender, yet not a pushover. She pushes him. Thanks for asking!
