Would like to share something with y’all that’s In the works and I’m really proud of....

I’m working with a couple guys from back home on developing a “blog” through Twitter that Is completely related to film break downs. We’re hoping to have some former VFLs on and walk us through the calls and what happened. Hopefully if it gets off the ground and people enjoy it we can do some live “watch parties” once the season arrives. The goal is to make it as interactive as possible and help teach vol fans of all ages, backgrounds, and knowledge levels.

Were working on planning a two week+ trip next year out west with our boys. They've never been, will be 12 and 14. I've been to wyoming, yellowstone several times on trip and hunting, but there are other places we want to see. My wife and I have often discussed retiring to somehwere in Colorado.

The scenery in the San Juan mountain area of Colorado and the red rock country of Utah to the west of them is like I said in another post.."otherworldly"

Me and my son walked right up on a mama and two cubs while hiking in the woods around Cades Cove..it freaked me out. We were making noise and just walking along when we came up on her in a patch of knee high grass in a little clearing not 10 feet off the trail, we stopped dead still and then noticed the cubs in the tree just above her. We slowly backed away while she watched us and then walked through the woods to get around them.

She never made any aggressive movements..just stood up on all fours and watched us.

Good story, well done. Most times they don't want anything to do with you as long as you don't get aggressive toward them.

We had couple of events with them around Cades Cove while picnicking in the past. Fortunately a ranger was nearby and shepherded them away from the scene. My favorite bear "story" was in downtown Gatlinburg decades ago at the old Open Hearth Restaurant that is now a retail outlet. There was a local bear resident that did dumpster diving there many evenings. Knew how to pop the lid open and everybody around town knew about him. He would swim in my BIL's hot tub at his nearby cabin occasionally. Had been in the restaurant with my boss and another guy from the main office. Walked out to the car after dinner, not paying any attention that I had parked by the dumpster earlier, which I should have known not to do. The ensuing freak out from my boss and co-worker when they saw the bear about 15-20 feet from them was hilarious. Local Smokey just took a look at us and continued his dining. Wish I could say I planned it. My boss didn't fire me and they had a story to tell all their family and friends back in Cali.

I think I've finally pinned down where my enthusiasm has gone. It's not so much JH that I feel disappointed in as it's just our entire situation. People look at JH's offense and think "exciting and fun". They think about winning 8 or 9 games a year and how great that is. And it is great. But I miss going into every game thinking we can win. And I've lost that. A nine win season sounds great. Beyond great. Until you consider the three losses every year probably come against the same 3 teams, Florida, Georgia, and Bama. And that's where my enthusiasm just dies. 2016 is the last time we beat Florida or Georgia. Have to go back to 2006 for the last time we beat Bama. And it's hard to the point of almost impossible for me to see us beating any of those teams in the near future. And not solely because of JH, but mostly because of the mess created by Pruitt and our administration, And I include our administration because I really think Donde Plowman mishandled this investigation. I know some think she did what she had to do, but I disagree with how she managed it. Given our current circumstances, I don't even have the excitement of good recruiting classes to look forward too. And I really want to be optimistic, but being realistic, why would any top recruit want to pick us right now? We have a great in-state class coming up, but unfortunately, I really expect most to go out of state. I don't want it to happen, but I totally expect it to happen. I think schools like Bama, Clemson, Florida, and Georgia will keep racking up great classes, and we'll struggle to be in the top 20, mostly because of a self-inflicted wound. And I don't know all the politics, maybe this really did result from a booster power fight, no clue, but we did it to ourselves. I'm just so depressed when it comes to UT football right now. I feel like I got kicked in the nads so hard it completely split the cup. And this feeling sucks. But I'm a Vol for life. Unfortunately, I just don't feel like I'll ever see us be truly great again. We're an afterthought in the SEC, which will always hinder us on the national stage.
I get that...it is pretty much how I feel too. I am a Vol till I die though, so I decided that I am just going to cheer on the kids that come here and try their best from now on. I don't have high expectations of future success anymore. It is what it is.

Like the time I walked out the front door of a bar. After about 10 paces, I heard a sound behind me,and saw a momma skunk scurrying back to her younguns. I had walked right between them.

Ignorance is blissed sometimes. lol.

Which leads to a similar skunk story from Cades Cove. We had gone there to hike and picnic. We got the food out on the table and started chowing down. Yep, we did not see there was a skunk nearby. As we ate it meandered under the table and literally brushed against our legs and feet looking for crumbs. We sat as still as possible and let it do its thing. The look on my 10 year old daughter's face was priceless, but I am sure mine was the same. It seemed like forever, but it eventually meandered off toward the stream as we all breathed a sigh of relief. But the day was done. My wife and daughter had experienced enough nature at that point.

about what? dude cant have total control ober every detail and expect people to fall in line. AP works for Vq, not IMG. Lot's of folks' livelihoods depend on reporting on HIS athletics, which, employs him. In turn, creates interest and revenue.

Dictatorships never work, ever. That **** will tire quickly.

He will learn Vol fans pretty fast. He thinks he is running Area 51 or something. The last thing he wants is VN to turn on him.

I’ve looked a a lot or places for sale in Utah, grand junction, Co area.
We like to Jeep, do outdoor things, and it seems like that area is a good fit, good weather, close enough to ski resorts, etc.
We’re just beyond sick of this NE weather, and have 7 years before our youngest is in college.
I want to live somewhere that I can jump in the Jeep, sxs, or my horse and just enjoy the views, watch some elk and stare at the mountains.

I thought I received a spam call a couple of days ago but I took a screenshot because of the location. Then I heard someone on the radio talking about ticket renewals and that the university is already calling people for money. Anyone else get a call?

I always thought it was dumb of Lake City to change its name to Rocky Top. Has it turned out like they thought it would?

I've habitated in the West for awhile. Folks are locking up water around here. There's more of it in the Smokies.
you in NM? after I left WY, buddy and I went to Albuquerque. Understand I had seen the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone all Summer. Passed up on real Grand Canyon to go see that place. Wished we'd gone to Vegas....or AZ.

I'm north of Albuquerque in the Southern Rockies. Totally different world.
