That means we paid a guy, $900,000 for going to a few meetings. That is, without a doubt, this dumbest decision to hire a person then fire in history if Ut sports.

He basically did in that article I linked. Said he lied to him like he lied to everyone else. And Kiffin lost his grievance which all but confirmed what Davis said.

The most important difference between Lane and JH is coaching connections. I think JH is a good offensive mind, but does he have the connections to put together a good defensive staff? I sure hope so.

I doubt they all turned us down. I’m sure they were for the most part, feelers to gauge the amount of interest.

If they didn't show any interest after being contacted, then they have effectively turned you down.

Didn't Davis hold a press conference, in which he went into minute detail on how Kiffin was a fraud; or, did I just imagine that? Seems I remember that; I believe he used an overhead projector and all.

At the very least, since his contract was supposedly "vague" you keep him on as an analyst and don't pay a buyout.

it seems no matter who's making the decisions this University just doesn't seem like it wants to win.

Not sure if or where they're going to go. But anytime anyone tries to usurp power and do things in secrecy, it never turns out well. Just not a big fan of that.

The biggest question on campus was who will be DC. We made a great move to get SEC defensive guru and recruiter, with TN ties.

The optics are bad here...I just dont know.
