Je'Ron Stokes

with a 6'5" frame it gives you tremendous leverage and hence a large advantage over a 5'11" corner...getting off the jam is about being lengthy and strong as well as having quickness...I'm not saying GJ can't get off the jam, just that he wasn't doing it consistently enough...I love Gerald Jones he's got heart :salute:

Je'Ron we need you at Tennessee. come be part of something special. You will get much playing time as a freshman. Please come.....108,000 vol fans rooting for you

Jones is alright. He doesn't make people miss like some people think. He's only good enough to be a college slot receiver. Some people think he has pro potential.

Would you draft G.Jones? If so do you think he could get open against the nickel backs of the NFL?

Im behind you Lockdown. What has Gerald jones really done? Not much. I think his biggest asset is his mind for the game. Physically he doesn't do much for me.

He is not fast enough. He has good hands and can make people miss. He also has a good football brain. But, he just does not have separation speed. I was at the Kentucky game and Jones had a nice return got to midfield anyone with more speed (Berry, Vinson, Paige, Creer) would have had six but he could not take the corner. On the other side how many of those guys would have ran the right angle to be in that situation.

I don't think jones had ever recovered from the ankle sprain.
