And most importantly IMO, we avoided an ugly, desperate search played out in the media. It was handled as well as it could be given the circumstances.
I don't think a single coach got a raise at another school out of this search. And I know gundy didn't. So it's already the most successful search of the decade.

He ran through Tee? Harsh.

Yeah. Not sure I trade if I'm the Jets
Fins fan here, I gotta say, it would not hurt my feelings if Miami made a deal with Houston for a QB swap. I like Tua but Iā€™m not at all convinced heā€™ll ever be anything more than pretty good.

I donā€™t understand why anyone ever drafts a Bama QB, at least not until late rounds. There hasnā€™t been one that became a legit NFL star since Stabler and Namath. You donā€™t have to be great to look great in college behind an NFL line, throwing to NFL receivers and handing off to NFL backs.

"It came down to connection. That's one of those things that's extremely important to me. It's been really hard during during this year with Covid. But you play this game, it's a tough, physical, demanding game, you play it because of connection. And there's gotta be a sense of belonging, a sense of brotherhood that has to reside inside of that locker room. And to do that you gotta spend time with each other. And you have to do things outside of the game. That's one of those things that we try to pride ourselves on inside of our program here at Tennessee. As we move forward it's that sense of connection. That allows you to go chase greatness outside of the game. When you are connected you have a chance to love. When you have love you're able to sacrifice for your teammates. And this game is all about sacrifice."

Also in regards to that long post about Pruitt and some of the stuff that went down. Donā€™t believe much of that.

I can tell you for 100% certainty that Eric gray and brian Maurer were escorted out of the locker room prior to the A&M game.
So, they would've played if someone else didn't come and get them?

I think DW probably wanted JH all along, and as things progressed how they progressed, the others fell quickly in line. By all accounts, once the search started, it was organized and amicable, which for UT is quite commendable.
This idea bothers me. You think DW never had any real intention or desire to aim higher than JH? I get it. We're in dire straights. But the idea that our AD had no intention of actually pursuing big fish, that he started out willing to settle for far less, that bothers me.
