Eric Gray commits to Oklahoma

He will do well at Oklahoma and they are a top 10 program. We are a top 100 program. Let’s see 🤔 A) top 10 or B) top 100? ...... I think he picks “A”.
He knew those same numbers when he came here.... what changes other than being caught with his hand in CJP’s Mcnugget sack...

Did he receive impermissible benefits? If so, it's all moot

Yes. Also some of the players who transferred also received impermissible benefits, hence cash. They won’t be punished though because the NCAA will take two yrs and mist of the players who transferred will be in the NFL or graduated.

If he were a receiver, I could understand this move, but it is perplexing as a running back to OU. I mean, UGA, Bama, Ohio State, etc., would have made more sense. Guess they weren't offering.

Tennessee needs some professional leadership and stability. Ever since Kiffin bailed after one year it's been nothing but one big giant embarrassing train wreck. I sure hope to God this AD knows what he is doing and not sabatoging these tracks even further.

I’m sure [Generic Coach] didn’t want him anyway. Clearly he is the answer to all that ills us. We should feel truly blessed to have such a fine example of coaching excellence on our sidelines.

Truly a pivotal day for UT and obviously the best THEY could do.

I don’t understand how these players who allegedly took money will be eligible.

Last year, James Wiseman at Memphis took $, and the NCAA immediately told him he was required to pay the money back. He couldn’t, and never played there again. Waited for the NBA draft rather than playing college bb.

Eric please come back. I promise I’ll get you the double quarter pounder meal and I’ve been informed that the Kingston Pike McDonald’s frosty machine is finally working again!

Yeah depends on how much was given. I think in the Penny Hardaway case he was given money to move or something. That could have been several thousand dollars. If a kid like Gray has gotten like 2500$ a family members stimulus or whatever will loan him to get his play time in and he will pay them back after drafted.

Oklahoma... 😂

They now have 3 UT transfers. Likely all starters for us in 2021 season...

If the rumors are true, he’s a big reason UT is in all the trouble it’s in. Hope is successful but humbled a bit by the trouble he helped to create at our university.

Makes sense. NCAA also slapped Wiseman with a 12 game suspension, which is almost 40% of the season. Would guess any football player who took money might get a 4-6 game suspension for additional penalty.

Good luck Eric, You can leave your VFL badge at the front desk on your way out and don't come back because you are never welcome.

Fyp....but really I don't blame Gray. I blame the band of fools that turned some of our players into mercenaries.
