He develops the RB, which is arguably Cle.son's best position. Would he have the talent maybe not, but could he get the talent. Elliott already has in roads with top guys across the nation, and almost certainly lands us Ty Simpson. Steele is also a good DC who has in roads with Elite talent all over the south as well. You go down a road where its Chadwell and I feel confident in saying he would have a hard time even getting kids to pick up the phone and listen. You think Walter Nolan knows who a Jamey Chadwell is?

None of this matters if Elliott isn't cut out to be a head coach in the SEC. Or a head coach anywhere, period. And we have no idea if he is.

One more thing..Tony Elliott is a better version of James Franklin before he got a HC gig..in every possible freaking way. Does anybody argue with that?
NO disagreement there and I really like TE. But Franklin has a body of work at a HC that is hard to achieve. Can Elliot get there? Sure. Is he guaranteed to be as good Franklin? Absolutely not.

If Dabo is just a cheerleader and Tony Elliot is actually in charge of developing players, wouldn’t that mean Clemson struggles next year?

You can’t have it both ways.
sure i can. lol.

all y'all are doing here today is filling the information void with worst case scenarios, per each poster's speculation/opinion...............lol.

Say Elliot take this job and Dabo plays for another National Championship next year.

Then what are you going to say?
What? College football is as much about the Jimmie's and Joe's not thr X's and O's. Clemson is still going to be ok next year. The more important stuff to look at would be the numbers. Do they land Simpson? How many guys do we steal? Offensively where are they ranked compared to when Elliott was there. Really weak argument.

I'll give you that one..
but when you look at the overall body of work there's no comparison right now..
Franklin has a much better chance at success here.. not saying Elliott won't succeed.. we're comparing a guy that has essentially got the job done at two different places as HC compared to a rookie..

if you think for a minute that TE wasn't involved in that game then I don't know what to tell you
I think Clemson was just over powered up front in that game more than anything. Ohio state was very good in the trenches and Justin fields played out of his mind. They were bound to lose that game regardless.

BuT DaNnY WhItE iS a WiNnEr, a ReAl Ad
Danny White can be a good AD and still not be able to convince a homerun type hire to come here, we have no idea what the sanctions are going to look like. Perception of this job is not what it used to be, that has nothing to do with him.
